that is good and is sort of smooth.
it is very slow though and the joints are stiff.
also a bit choppy in places.
go see some pivot tutorials on how to animate walks and i think you will be great
good luck :)

Just tried a short run loop to prepare myself for my combo project. Also posted as CC for a flash animation. Didn't focus on back and head whatsoever, just on arms and legs. Image

Thank you.
I added some back movements, but I am not really sure what to do with the back. Can anyone assist?

I am just going to throw out a theory here. If I were to continue my loop so I did the same run several times, then I took the frames and made it so the stick was moving across the screen, would it look good?

I suggest getting some verticle movement. Imagine gravity acting upon him as he runs. He would move up and down and the back would arch down slightly when he hit the ground to compensate for impact.

that is called sprite making and works well depending on how you animate it.

at least i think thats what you are talking about, I have used it a couple times myself.

Coming back after a few years. I see SP hasn't changed too much.

Made in Stykz, this is my first time using the Pivot-esque program. I usually use Pivot 2, that is, until I figure out how to use Pivot 4. Obviously for beginners a simple walk is recommended at first; if I can find my old files, I'll post "proof-of-skill" to show I am a bit beyond a simple walk.

It could use a bit more anticipation and followthrough. A somersault is a pretty big movement to come out of nowhere.
