No because when it gets to the icy times the ice caps will reform and we'll be back to the begining.

If all the ice caps melt all the water will be above 0 degrees so there would be no ice.

I've got to say that global warming is real, but that it may not officially be us causing it. The world works in seasons, so why not the solar system? The ice age was winter, and now we're entering summer.
