Short presentation:

THE COMPETITION IS OVER, NO MORE ENTRANTS ALLOWED.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: 44 people entered 26th February, 12:33AM GMT -6.
TLTFT
TLTFT (The Long Time Flash Tournament) is an annual competition held at the Stick Page Forums. The competition is a multi-rounder of 12 rounds, 6 months, each round has 15 days. This year it’s TLTFT’s second edition.
TLTFT is a competition that not only tests your ability to animate, but also your ability to create an entertaining flash, by adding a certain feel to your animation. TLTFT Round 1 starts 1st of March.

Categories
TLTFT is split up in three categories: beginner, intermediate and professional. When you join you will post at least a couple example animations so we can decide what category you fit best.

Collaborations
After each round ends, all entries are put together in collaborations. If a pro or intermediate category is over 2 minutes in length and is good quality, it will be hosted on Stick Page Front Page. Beginner collaborations will not be hosted.

How it all works
Each round we have a set theme and technical details. You will animate by those, and will be given rates by three judges. The average of those 3 rates will be your final score for that round. At the end of the tournament, after the 12th round, points from all rounds will be summed up and whoever has the most is the overall winner.

Prize
Pro: 1st place – 150$ 2nd place – 100$ 3rd place – 50$
Intermediate: 1st place – 100$ 2nd place – 50$ 3rd place – 50$
Beginner: TLTFT Merchandise (T-Shirt + badge + stickers)

In beginner section, each round, the 1st place winner will get featured in the intermediate collaboration of that round as the upcoming animator.

Staff
Judges
Pro category – ZuLu, Hyun, Terkoiz
Intermediate category – ZuLu, SSJBryando,
Beginner category – -Hawk-, Lixu, SSJBryando

To be a judge in pro category, you have to be a professional yourself; intermediate requires intermediate and so does beginner. You have to be active here at the forums to be able to judge entries in two groups (early and late, those that come in the first 7 days and those that come in the last 7, so you can compare and not be too busy at the same time). You need a good sense of rates patience and enjoy rating (the number of entries might get very high in certain categories). You can judge in many categories if you think you have the time and skill needed.

Judge for a day – Since me and SSJBryando are also going to participate in the competition, each round a judge will be chosen from the participants to give a rate to our entries.

Award creators
Pro: - Wtf
Inter: - FoShizzle
Beginner: - M3D

To be an award creator you have to be a good designer. You will have to make 3 gifs each round, for the first 3 positions. You can make awards for many categories if you have the time.

Collaboration compilers

I obviously don’t have the time to compile three collabs each 2 weeks so we need two collab compilers that will make menus and credits for the collabs and put the entries together in a good order to fit the song the best (e.g.: A very powerful entry won’t go on a fast part of the song). You need a good computer, because there will be a lot of entries. You will be given certain specifications of how the menu should work (technical details such as play button, scene select, about section, extras, etc). We need one compiler for each category.
Pro: Drifts;
Intermediate: -Hawk-
Beginner: -Hawk-

The key to success
Participate in as many rounds as possible and work as hard as you can on all your entries to get a big overall score.

Wow.
This really is something big.
I actually always found this competition quite enerving, because every time I came to the forums this was the only discusses subject.
Well I could go for Prize designer, but I don't do .gif's just images.

The file type of the images doesn't matter much, it just has to be accepted by most forums so people can use it as signatures. Post an example of your latest design work and read the requirements first. Activity would be the most important one. ;)

You're in for beginner, Rabstar. If you're not ok with that, post a longer test cause these two were kind of... well... let's just say they didn't show much to me or SSJB. >_>

I would indeed show more then transformation tool and 3 hits. =3 It was wobbly, but it wasn't too bad. If you have anything else that's longer, then show.
