Well, I'm broke.
My birthdays tomorrow that's why.
Is buying Left4Dead worth it?

I really don't see whats wrong with consoles. I'm a mixed gamer, I play on both. I love my console for the exclusives and my PC for Steam.

It's not really the console, it's the people playing those consoles.

off topic here, but I was thinking, the only thing better about, say a 360, is the amount of cores it's got, right? Well then I'm assuming the only reason a game might run at 61 fps on a 360, and 40 fps on a PC that has everything better than a 360 (apart from the cores) is because of the background programs running, and the OS? Well, couldn't someone make a program that stops ALL the programs running, apart from itself and the core OS functions, and then technically wouldn't that make it better than a 360?

The reason you need a more beast PC is yes, it's got 21938120 million other things to do on top of running your game.
Also, making all the programs stop besides the bare basics is called knowing what to close in Task Manager.
PC's are better then 360's. You can't argue with that. (Unless you have a shit computer)

Honestly it isn't, it's cool like the first 3 times, then it just gets boring.

Well, I have a dual core 2.9GHz, a 500 GB SATA II HDD, 4GB GDDR2 RAM and a 9600 GT (all better than a 360 apart from the dual core).
Now, I know obviously you can just terminate the processes, but it still wouldn't run a smooth as a 360 (even though it would look better). I'm saying it would be good if they could create a program to shut down all the processes except for the one needed to run the program and the game (and still keep windows running) - more than the task manager can do.

Some CPU's have special programs to do this automatically. Plus when ti does that you can overclock it which I don't do.Quote from VincentAlso, making all the programs stop besides the bare basics is called knowing what to close in Task Manager.

My computers better. But not by much.
Intel Dual Core 3.0GHz.
500GB SATA HDD.
4GB RAM. (Rated at 3 for whatever reason)
9800GT GFX Card.
Intel DQ45CB Motherboard. (Love this mobo)

Do you even know what Task Manager is? Hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and click the tab Processes.
Everything that is running, everything that NEEDS to be running. It's all there.
You only need about 15* processes running at once really.. a Dual Core can run this all smoothly and pretty well. I got L4D, Gmod, Firefox, MSN, iTunes, and multiple folders open at once. No lag.
Yeah, 360 is better alright.

Huh, I didn't know that. Also I think overclocking is too risky/expensive.

Mine:
Intel Dual Core e8500, Oveclocked at 3.45GHz
500GB SATA HDD + external 500BG
8GB RAM.
8800GT overclocked. Better than anyother graphic card on the marquet because the GT series give a lot with overclocking. Also It's much cheaper.
Dunno my motherboard, but it's a crossfire.
Gonna check it out tomorrow.
So me, vincent automaton and Miniman can basicly run every game on the market.
Also they say that GTA was to be better in consoles and looks like there's a massive lag on Xbox360 and PS3.
PC = spotless
P.s on overclocking:
Protip - nTune

I like the extra power you can get out of your PC. Just upgrade it ever year or two and you're fine.
FPS's are better with a mouse in my opinion.
