Why speculate on anything thats impossible? Why think about what it would be like to be an astronaut if you know you'll never be one? Why imagine what it would be like to be president, or live in a third-world country, or explore the bottom of the ocean? After all, like you say, it's never gonna happen.


And that I will almost certainly never make the game is no reason that I should immediately cease speculation about how one could be made. Plus, your argument that it is impossible to do a zombie MMO was greatly flawed. Pardon me while I dismantle it.

If you even want for there to be novelty players. If not then you need lots of things that a small experienced company with a large budget wouldn't be able to do.

Mainly because the average deadline on a game is 3 years and an MMO takes up to 5 years, and for a zombie MMO you'd need a massive advercampaign, you need some serious balancing, and you'd need lots of different models for the zombies. You'd need fast zombies to create a bloodrush and adrenaline rush that keeps players in the game. We're not in DOTD era anymores, we want fast action, and we want it right the **** now. If our zombies dont run then we dont play. You'd need a massive budget, a large team, and a dedicated server. Not to mention willing players willing to kill zombies.

Also what possibility would there be for PVP?

PvP would work the same way as you'd imagine. If you'd ever seen the Zombie Diaries, there are some sick fucks out there who would take advantage of the situation to unleash their urges, as well as people running out of supplies. If I were to make it, there would be a system where you have to have a little food and water a day to continue to live before attributes suffered and eventually you'd die. With minimal supplies, some people would be forced into turning against other players or working together. Giving a pack mentality as well as an option of PvP.

Also, I'd prefer an innumorous number of slow zombies, so much that they're everywhere and not being able to run through other characters, still giving you the sense of being completely surrounded by an unstoppable enemy, while at the same time giving you a false sense of security because they are slower and less intelligent then you.

The zombies don't HAVE to be fast at all for it to be a successful game. Deadrising was rediculously popular and the zombies don't move faster than a slow walk. I also love how you finished off that rant paragraph with a "wait until the real zombie apocalypse happens."

Anyway, Failed abortion is an idiot. He is not going to make it, we're just speculating on how it would be made for fun.

And Ampersand, I think it would be lame to HAVE to eat and drink each day, because then it would just be annoying chore. I'm sure that things like ammunition or character advancement stuff would motivate players in the same way, despite being optional (I mean, going without ammunition is dumb, but it's theoretically possible if you just run. And there could be some character advancement junk that could be looted off people's bodies to encourage players to kill each other.)

Yeah.

So, erm, I think there should be some special kinds of zombies just to make the gameplay itself more interesting, or like mysterious zombies or things (like if you would find a some kinda report card about experiments with people in a zombie, and you could go find out about the place and stuff).

Maybe there should be zombie bosses, that have special items/are way powerful than the others/have special attacks. That would certainly make the gameplay more interesting.


But I don't know what feature should be added to make this MMO different from the others.

Plus, you don't seem to realize that Dead Rising, a game with slow zombies, sold millions of copies and had very high ratings among critics.

One question about zombies, do they sexually reproduce, or just bite people to make more zombies.
I guess what I'm asking is if there is more than one way to spread the infection.

Hahah, no, they just bite to spread the infection, though I supose it's possible that if a person tried having sex with a zombie, they could contract the zombie virus like an STD.

Na, can't see the idea of being able to go and do that catching on unless you want a bunch of 12 year olds to be your main fanbase? However if you did impliment it, I can imagine things like, 'Rape zombies for free supplies' and shit being said to new players.

WoW, guildwars, a little of oblivion and Fallout when they came out. Then muddled about with the odd free download client type ones. I honestly just went with a simply right click, funny option thing, Runescape wasn;t really in my thought process at the time.
