Me and my friend have a huge point in our lives: We think that we will one day create a totally next-gen game and probably a brand new console.

Like, a ball, in which you go in, dress yourself in a special suit.

And you can totally control your movements in the game, feel the weight of the items.

This would be like an entertaining workout for the ones that don't like sport.

This could even be used as a thing that helps you learn instead of the books, like it creates a hologram of the thing that happened in the past and you study and stuff.

The possibilities are somewhat endless.

I've had similar thoughts in the past, but there's a limmited market for such a console. The problem is, the best games for a device like that would be RPGs and FPSs, both of which are going to involve a great deal of activity, running, jumping, fitness, etc. And that eliminates a good 40% of the population on average in countries that actually have the money for it.

There's also the issue of getting it installed into your house - it's not exactly the sort of thing that you can take home in a box - not to mention the issue of fitting for diffent sized people.

How do you plan on building this?

I'm not quite sure yet.

But maybe, in the future, there will be new technology, and maybe there are chances that this thing will actually be created.

It's doable now, it's just too impractical. The easiest way would be to have piston type things all over the suit that can both detect the pressure that you're giving and apply pressure to simulate holding things, etc. If you attach them to the outside of the ball it's possible to do running and jumping without the danger of knocking stuff over.

It's still a marketing nightmare.

I dont really understand the point of this. What are we discussing? Whether this is a possibility, or whether the possibility is endless, or how well something like this will be accepted, or what?

Sure, it's doable. But it still kind of isn't. It's like jetpacks. They are super awesome, and we have the technology to make them, but we're still not rocking civilisation like boba fett.

Someone could hack it and put you into a living nightmare.

OMG, that alone is reason to build this thing. That would be the best practical joke in history.

Maybe the ball would be placed on a special... thing, that would hold it in one place, but also would let it to spin around.

But I am thinking, if you will feel the weight of the items and stuff, what if an enemy strikes you?

You would break something, or get slashed or what so ever.

How could you get hurt in the virtual world, but not in real life?

You would have a red flash across your virtual screen/goggles/whatever and now restricted movement in the place you got hit. I think, for things like paper cuts, it would be a more or less painless environment.
