I believe being gay is not a genetic trait. Its also not a choice either. The choice for gay people is whether to come out as a gay person.

I think it works the same way that people have different musical tastes. Everybody is born with a natural ability to enjoy and comprehend music the same way we all have a natural instinct to love another human being. Now, we may be born into an environment where we are exposed to a certian type of music which we either embrace and accept or ignore because we dont like it. Most likely though, since it is the first music that you've heard you will atleast accept it and appreciate it. As we grow older and our understanding of music increases, so does the type of music that we are exposed to. We may decide that the first genre of music that we listened to is better than anything else you've heard. OR, because we knew the music we first listened to wasn't doing it for us we find love in a new discovered genre of music. And even if you have an identical twin sibling whos had a similar life experience, you may connect with a certain theme or song that an artist plays that your sibling may not from his/her point of view.

Of course there are more genres of music than options in sexuality, but I believe the way it works in our brains in similar ways. This could be we so many people are into pop/mainstream music because of the amount of exposure it gets. And even people who are constantly exposed to it hate/dislike it and find pleasure in music that is less mainstream and more meaningful to them.

1. The Bible was written by men, not God. Therefore it is not unreasonable for it to have inconsistencies.

I beleive that this debate shall go unanswered. There are enough reasons for either answer to be true, but some reasons disprove others. This debate is un-solvable.

Debating about something that is clearly unanswered, and to be answered by a bunch of people in a forum is utterly ludicrous.
It's not genetic, how could it be genetic if the parents are straight?
and it's not a choice either.
So why debate about it, just accept it.

My nephew has been gay from birth. For about 6 years I've walked in on him having sex with his dad.
