Well, today i got a laptop, it is a little old, but its good, once i get some better ram, and a new graphics card then it will be a great computer, its only got 128mb of ram, but it runs at 1000mz. It is a Compaq Armada Intel Pentium 3. It has an ATI RAGE AGP Graphics card, which is meh, but i will soon replace it with a much better one, and i will also get some ram, all it has is the built in stuff, i wish so much that desktop computer ram could be put in laptops, because my computer has 4 gbs.
So the question stands...
Have YOU Got a laptop? And if so, what type?
Have YOU gots laptop?

That's a pretty crappy laptop... Damn, 128 MB of ram? Can you even run XP on that thing? By the way, you probably won't be able to upgrade that, laptops are impossibly hard to upgrade.
Mine's around average:
2GB RAM
1.9 Dual Core AMD Athlon
nVidia 9800 256 mb graphics card
15.4" HD Widescreen display

I got it from Best Buy for $800 with a wireless printer (on a promotion where the printer was half price).
Good stuff.

School made me pay for the standard IBM thinkpad thing.. atleast it's loaded with a tonne of free software licenses.
Core 2 duo at 2.4ghz
2 gigs DDR2 ram
Nvidia quatro FX570M
It's good for older games like BF2 and all valve games, and nice for 3d rendering cuz of the dual core. Sucks for anything new.

That is a ****ing terrible computer. Laptops are just horrible for games anyways.

I'm not very knowledgeable about upgrading hardware but I don't think your comp will recognize more ram. If its old and comes stock at 128mb your motherboard won't be able to read a 2gb chip, let alone 512mb.
Don't waste your money upgrading that laptop. Make a decent desktop wiff quad cores n shit.

My desktop is an office computer, the kind that can only have the on-board graphics, and yeah, it came with 2 gigs of ram in it, 2 cards, but my dad took them out to put in his laptop. And once i get ram and a new graphics, my laptop will be 10 times better then my desktop.

Jeep, as people have said previously, don't waste your time upgrading that laptop, it won't be able to recognize/use the ram and other upgrades. It's like putting the engine of a current Mercedes on the first car ever created.
I have a nice Toshiba Satellite. 2GB ram, 1.66 Duo Processor, awesome graphics card (can't think of the name off the top of my head)
However I broke the part where the screen connects to the base, and I am going to Sweden for 4 weeks, and I need a laptop in 2 days, and it takes weeks to get it fixed.
So I decided to get a netbook, it has a 1.6 ghz processor, 1 gigabyte of ram, 160 gigabyte hardrive, decent graphic card. It is small, thats why it's a netbook, but it isn't uncomfortable. The best part is it is only $300. It's an Acer.
