there is a way to make animations on flash and dramaticly reduce the amount of time.here it is...


SAFETY PREACUATION:EVERY HOUR OF ANIMATING TAKE A 15 TO 30 MINUTE BREAK!!!!!!!!!.first you need to have pivot.if you don't download pivotx 4.0 but any version will do.(pivot 2.2.5 and up is highly recomended)now make your animation but don't add any other stks but the stickmen(Tip:draw your flash background in flash before you start then export it as bitmap then go to paint and load it.then save it as 24 bitmap.)example:if you wan't a flash like blast just show the stickman doing the motions but don't add the actual blast on there yet.if you want a guys head to be bashed in just make his head stop for 2 frames then go in a bit more.Right now you're probably sketchy about this but here's were the best part comes in.save your animation as ANIMATED GIF!then open flash.(I use marcomedia flash 8 pro)now make a new flash document and go to file and click "import to stage"now find your animation.go rightclick on an empty space and go to "document properties and click"match content". click add new layer and draw your background around the stickman if you didnt follow the tip.Now heres the effects part of it.Go to the whaterver frame you you wanted your drawing to be and draw one frame of it and go to the next frame and draw more of it and so on and so on.when you are done just go export the movie as gif.now to add sound go load your animation that you edited on widows movie maker and add sounds.now save it as a project if you're not done or click the "save it to your computer" button and get best quality if you like.to put it on stickpage and to skip the windows movie maker part add your buttons and add the sounds on flash if you know how to do it.save it as a flash document and there you're done!this is useful to make quick but flash looking animation or if your good at animating on pivot but bad at animating on flash.leave replys! That's not a shortcut because pivot sucks balls and you cant animate anything decent with it.

that's why you use flash to edit it!to show what the least pivot can do go to youtube and type in FIGHTERS OF DESTRUCTION PT 3 (UPDATED VERSION).

Sure you can make some awesome stuff with it but it is still shit. You are saying that if you make a sculpture out of a pile of fecal matter that it is good because it is a sculpture. IT IS STILL SHIT.

oh yeah "Pivot just sucks balls .. lalalal... I win..." is such a good argument. Have you ever used it long-term and actually gotten good? If you haven't , I dont really think your opinion would be of much weight here.

I have, and while for all intents and purposes it is a useless program, it is still a decent program to animate with if you are a beginner

I dont really see how it is much more useless than other programs on this site.

Lets say for example I have a very unsteady hand, I'm a very bad artist with a mouse and I don't have tablet.
Flash or easytoon wont really pose much of a use for me. But I suppose you can call it an amateur program because you wont go serious with it.

No, no I am definitely not saying pivot is equal to flash. (And I'm not just saying this because of the fear of being strangled.) Notice the much more part of my comment. It's because I don't fully get the usefulness part on any of the programs, thus I don't see one failing to be useful.

Yeh but I have tried practicing, and still I have a unsteady hand... okay but that's not my point.

My point is - pivot does things differently and on a lower level but it still does it well for what it is. It's good for starters and maybe a not-so-serious path of animation but it cant be instantly counted as shit. It does reserve a little respect.
