Religion is just a fake reality for the people who need answers. The people with nothing better to do on a sunday morning than chant to an invisible old dude in the sky who probably likes to molest little girls. It provides stability and hope in an unstable world, but all that is is a false reality conceived to controll and corall people into the sick beleifs and expectations imposed by the church.

Quote from Ash
But the Church doesn't say "stop, slow down, think, wait", it says "Stop trying to figure things out through investigation, stop thinking, stop waiting (Because you could die any day without being part of our church), we already have the answer, and the answer is RAPTORJESUS"

lmao i can somewhat understand why so many have gone atheist. Is it because theirs better clarity on life knowing that their isn't some mystic being up their watching your every move? or does it make you feel better knowing that there's hard based facts on life and you choose to abide by it. or is it the ignorance that you believe people follow because some one wrote a book on how they should live their lives? ( not being sarcastic) which is it for you ash?
im puzzled at the thought that everyday i feel as if im turning on God and thinking there is none. it scares me because all my life i've heard stories of saints and a generous man and how their can be an afterlife with more to it and you shouldn't be afraid at the end because theirs heaven. But, im scared because im faced with the fact i don't know which to turn to. im here thinking its all false but at times there's those moments. i just don't know if god truly does exists. i don't have an exact answer..... but i would really Really Would like for him to be there..

Look, man, I'm not an atheist for any emotional reason, I'm an atheist because I want to believe in as many true things as possible, and there's no reason, no evidence, to assume that a god exists. everything else is just a benefit that I was completely unaware of when I made the change.

And, man, I know how you feel, but trust me, the thought subsides. Remember that if a god is there that is capable of preventing bad things from occurring, then he is responsible for allowing EVERY SINGLE bad thing that has ever happened to occur. It doesn't comfort me to think that a god is up there that won't save an orphan from a house fire any more than it would comfort me for there to be a lifeguard at a pool that doesn't always try to save drowning people, but expects people to applaud him for the 1/40 that he does attempt to save.

Whats the benefit of being an atheist anyways? Why not live in ignorance thinking there is an afterlife, if you are right, we only get one shot, and not everyone can take that. So let them think there is an afterlife. Sheesh. They aren't hurting you. If someone says there is a god, why correct them? Why not keep your opinions to yourself, them saying there is a god, doesn't hurt you, there being a christian president, and not an atheist one, doesn't hurt you. How does it in anyway affect you actually? He wouldnt make any other new laws, besides those restricting other peoples beliefs, any other law would only reflect his political party. People pray around you so what? They don't force you to join in.

And if someone asked if you were christian, you could just respectfully tell them you didn't believe in that, instead of trying to shove facts in their face. And I guarantee they wouldn't be prejudice to you, as long as you were respectful, but I'm sure respectful means to you bleeding out scientific facts about why you are right, instead of just finding a way of stopping at I don't believe that.

I can also guarantee that personally, I am surrounded by way more seriously devout Christians, (that are crazier than the ones sourrounding you), than you are on a day to day basis, and its not as bad as you make it out to be.

Losing your innocence is similar to losing religion; once its gone, it never comes back. Once you stop believing, it's impossible to start again (I know there are exceptions, but in those cases the people were probably never truly Atheist, only agnostic)

And on a day-to-day basis, you are completely right. Religions fuel prejudice, however, and there are many wars to prove it. There's nothing wrong with religion in itself, only its side-effects.

Christians - Ignorant as shit
Agnostics - Awesome
Athiests - Arrogant and intolerant as fucking shit

This above graph simply shows the facts of life on a generalized scale, but still true to the majority of the populations split between these three beliefs.

It's impossible to not be Agnostic when it comes to a supernatural power; Atheism is more a rejection of all the current religions in my opinion. Of course we can't know, only be fairly certain that christianity and others are bullshit.

I put it there after you deleted yours then posted a slightly modified version below the old one, making it look like a double post and a reply to nothing.
