i think we should still tell kids that Santa exists, for the fun they have on christmas. after i found out, i was old enough to not care at all, but it was amazing to get the exact thing i wanted from "santa" when i never asked him for something.

Never mind about me, after reading all the other replies I've made up my mind.

Absolutely we should tell children that Santa exists!! Why would you not tell them? Could you imagine if a child got a text message directly from Santa? That would be one of the highlights of their lives!!

Yeah, why not. Most kids probably don't believe in Santa anyways and they'll be believing a lie when we tell them santa exists. I heard Coca Cola created Santa (correct me if i'm wrong).

Coca Cola only made the appereance of Santa as we all know it, but the concept of Santa goes way back, yo.

Actually, Clement Clarke Moore and Thomas Nast made the modern Santa Claus, in the late 19th century.

I realised he wasn't real when I was about 7, I saw presents in my mothers cupboard and said "is that what you bought me" I didn't fully believe in him anyway but when before being 7 I did, it was magical.

I think they should since it makes new year more exciting for children, and making wish lists.

Well, we should tell em' really. If we say he's not real then they'll just be upset.

But Coca-Cola did popularize it.

Santa came from St. Nichalos. The North Pole flying on sleds is fake.
