I just posted a few links to games that I just played and put down reasons why I think it's the best FPS.

I wasn't aware that I was taking it seriously.
then again, this sunday people will be making more money in one day than most people make in a year :/

Maybe it's just me but I'm kind of uncomfortable with people reflecting their own opinion about Halo as the collective idea of what the game is.

Why can't the game just be whatever each person wants it to be and leave it at that? Has it actually assumed a status where we need to discuss whether or not the game is universally good? Games are supposed to entertain you, whether it failed to do so or managed to give you a few hours of fun or turned you into a faggot like Arch-Angel, that's really shouldn't be the concern of anyone else.

Maybe it's just me but really, discussions like this have been done to death and it's really starting to get unsettling thinking about how much time people have put into them. People take games waaay too seriously.

I would seriously call Halo the best game just because I have so many fond memories of it and when I watch my children or my children's children playing video games, I'm sure Halo will pop first into my head. I just have too many fond memories of playing it. Going to a friends house for 3 days straight to play Halo CE with LANS. Then Halo 2 came out and I got an xbox and xbox live. I'll remember when me and my friends everyday on the bus would sit and talk about Halo and everytime one of us got off, the others would say "get on when you get home" and we would all be home and play till the night came. Halo 3 was good, only reason I enjoyed was because of the campaign because I really cared about the characters (just like in movies) but kinda sucked since you dont really know what happens to Master Chief (if anyone could tell me that would be cool since there are books). Halo is the best franchise of video games in my opinion and that's how I feel, no matter how much the "cool" kids say it isn't.

why are people suddenly coming in saying, "everybody knows its a good game they just don't like it because its cool to not like it". its called an opinion, shit. you can't expect everyone to like a game

Edit: rephrases it: I guess you could just say they're trolling when there randomly flaming it and when half the world says it sucks, while they think themselves its a decent game and put hours and hours in it, but just don't think it matches up to Gears and Cod o= But im only talking about the guys that on purpose say it sucks to counter-Xbox fans, or w/e
