Huuuuuuuuuuuur, I wanted to make a tutorial. Ok, this is an old trick that has been used for quite a while now and it really helps pivoteers maintain their foot placement especially when not using onion skin. This tutorial will teach you how to make and use the 'invisi-dot' method of animating. Enjoy c:

We will be making this;
Image
And here is how it is made...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Firstly, click File -> Create a figure type

Image

Then, with the default stick which should look like this; a plain line

Image

Next, click Option -> Edit mode and start to shrink down the default line into itself until it is hidden behind the orange dot and cannot see it anymore.

Image

After that you must make that shrunken line static by clicking the second right symbol to the right.

Image

At the bottom it should say, line: Thickness 0, length, static

Image

When this is done add the figure to your animation by clicking File -> Add to animation.

Image

And then give it a name, or not >_>
Image

Once added to your animation it will appear just as an orange dot. Behold...

Image

When made and added to your animation what you must do is learn how to use it. You use the 'invisi-dot' as a replacement for your stick figures joints, you add the 'invisi-dot' over one of your stick figures joint and when you see that your original joint isn't over your 'invisi-dot' you know you've shifted a bit and you must now align your stick figures joint with the 'invisi-dot' to maintain the placement, may it be foot, limbs or head placement.

If still confused here is a .piv file for better understanding.

Already did use that, but I use it with a line instead of a dot, and make the line just as big as the feet.

The onionskin isn't precise enough. You'll often be off by a pixel or two.
