View Profile So me and other members have been talking and we thought that it would be a neat idea for stickpage to have a chatroom of some sort. And no I don't mean all these other chats that all these veteran members have been passing around (which surprisingly I haven't heard of. Oh well it must be an opinion thing.) Not sure if we can really do this or not, but we were just hoping that this thread might get noticed and that other members might support this. That way maybe an admin could notice (although as we all know no admins really don't pay that much attention to this site.)
Of course however if there were to be a chat, limitations would be in order. Of course you'd have to be a member of the forums. You probably would have to have a higher post count than 100. I'm not sure exactly. Let's toss some ideas around and see what we can come up with. And hell for all we know, this might actually happen.
Thanks a lot..

View Profile What about the NTF member? Would they get promoted to moderators on the chat? But stay as NTF on the forum?
Yes this would work.
And hell,
if this is too much responsibility for them,
I'd gladly volunteer to moderate the chat. Along with Devour of course...

View Profile Guys, I saw a previous forum get destroyed from retarded squabbles over how the "government" works. Generally it works well here, let's not get carried away with trying to create a perfect union for the people here. If you want shit done, you can pm a mod/admin, and it's not like they'll just be like "NOPE DERP" and ignore you (maybe they will now because I said that).
Also what happened to the black names for admins? Now you look a lot less scary.

View Profile No. As the IRC took effort to get to with the navigating and all, the front page Chat would be alot easier. For those who hate firefox, rawr.
I just get the feeling people would rather post on the forums than chat in an IRC type environment... I know I would.

View Profile Here is the (theoretical) process (or at least what i've been doing recently):
- You come up with an idea
- You send your idea to a moderator (or, if you're feeling gutsy, an admin), who decides whether or not it is plausible and a good idea in general
- They discuss the idea with the rest of the team in the bat cave
- If necessary, they might make a thread to discuss whether or not the rest of the forum thinks it is a good idea (rare and for major changes only, i suppose)
- The idea is either scrapped or put in to action
Ultimately the decision of whether or not an idea is put in to action lies with the administrators, as they are the ones that would have to put it in to action and it is bloody well their forum.
If an administrator does something you don't like, you might be able to tell them it was a bad idea, and if enough people say it is a bad idea they might undo it, but in general, too ****ing bad it's not your forum it's theirs. deal w/ it

I wanted to see if this would even be worthy of being sent to an admin or mod. Think about it, why would we have a chat if no one supported the idea or never went on it? That's why I created this thread.

well, seeing as it's a major change it probably would have been best to suggest it to the crew first to see if it's even a viable option. like i said, if they think it's a good idea, they'd probably ask us if we'd want that as a feature because it's a pretty big addition. either that, or add it, and then we can ask for behavioural changes (like post count requirement etc)

View Profile It died because everyone figured to stick with the IRC.
At least that's what I think.
