First off buddy weed has no addictions,it does not cause any diseases, but it does **** up ur brain over a LONG PERIOD OF USE.I do it from time to time and i created an account just so i can talk to u about this.the only problems I got from it is is like a sort term loss of memory witch i sorta ill ready had but just made it worse in a way but besides the point its good to look out for ur friends but it would be better if u let him do his own thing. If u need to no anything more about it just ask cause i learned alot about it before i started smoking.

define **** your brain up, or are you just using those words because you don't know any specific way and are just using those words as a scapegoat. i'm guessing the latter. the only thing it does is effect your short term memory, so thats one true thing you've said. but thats about it

yeah just like you. but yes he probably is a lightweight, the chances of his weed being laced is not even very low, its really ****ing holy shit very low.
@vendetta no it doesn't, because a plant cannot be an addiction. the words just don't go together, what it can be is habit forming. and just like tv or the internet it's sometimes hard to break habits.
@scatman, schwa said it best, i would normally go down the show him the facts route but since he's the religious type it probably wont work. I was in a similar situation once but he was still kinda levelheaded so I won him over in the end by over a period of time dropping facts here and there. but yeah schwa's the man man

@Cosmo, weed can increase your chance of developing schizophrenia. But so can alcohol >_>

You have to have it schizophrenia already, then you might start to show symptoms earlier than you would have. Nevertheless either way, whether you smoke or not, you will become schizophrenic. I know someone who has that and smokes, when I first found out it freaked me the **** out but he says he hasn't seen any shadows or anything like he used to or anything.
An easy way to find out if whatever the media says weed causes is true is to look at a recent graph of the number of illnesses in one region with a graph of the rising (it's always rising) number of cannabis smokers. If they match, then hey look at that. They have yet to match.
If the number of people getting sick is not in sync with the number of people using the proposed cause then it makes sense that it is not the cause no?

I'm just saying that is a link in some cases.
Apr 28, 2010 5:13 AM #577068
And I'm agreeing with you, I am just pointing out and clarifying the link. If you have either a past history or a family member who has schizophrenia then for ****s sake don't smoke. take some other drug or don't take any at all, with that on your brain I doubt any kind of stimulation can do some good.
An interesting fact also, the number of schizophrenia cases has been steadily decreasing for a while now.

This might be a valid point, I have 'bursts' of schizophrenia, kinda like relapses in a way but they happened more often over easter when I was staying with stephen who smoked weed in the garden a fair amount it being the holidays and I was inhaling a fair amount of his smoke. Might be coincidence but I swear it felt more often.
