Do you think they should ban certain video games for people under the age of 18?

I think its wrong but you know kids do crazy shit these days we dont want another story like the halo killer happening.

the rating system is perfect the way it is now. The only reason a kid would have an M game would be if their shitty parent gave it to them.

When I would go out and buy a video game, I don't ever re-call a time when anybody payed any attention to a games ratings, nothing wrong with the rating system, I think it's the fact that nobody cares about it or pays any attention to it.

If kids can look at the bloodiest stickfigure movies on this website (and I'm sure they can if they're looking at this) and not have a problem, then I don't think people would ban video games.

stick figure violence isn't really comparable to human models in violence. plus, theyre stick figure animations, the violence is on par with dragonball z fighting

Then you haven't seen real-life violence.

I honestly think the main issue with violent / mature games isn't always something that needs to be judged by age, but also understanding of the world as whole. Loads of times when kids go on crazy killing sprees in real life people cling to the games that they played and believe that they were forced to live that out as a reality due to the games themselves. However, the people who do do that, child or not, are already crazy. The game did nothing to alter that.

I don't agree with most kids under 18 playing some games. However, if I were a parent and had a 'decently' mature 15-17 year old. I wouldn't be against getting them a 'M' rated game. As long as they get their shiz done that they need to. People just have some crazy ass kids sometimes and dont pay attention to their lives or how they act.

You see. Kids anger when they don't get to play there game/Loses ETC.

This isn't the FIRST time something like this had happened. Have you heard about the big gun fire in Colorado?

Your humorous rage makes me think that you cant even trust the most pity.

Probably because there isn't actually a causal relationship between him playing Halo and him killing someone." By Solamon Good day to you. In reply/Quote, Idgaf what you think.

Wow, this Nova dude is one badass motherfucker. I just want to drop my panties right now; I'm so wet.

You didn't even present any arguments in that post, all you said was "fuk u asshole thats not tru". Debates are not where you see who can yell the loudest. Could you at least try to structure your post into a coherent rebuttal?

Remember Rosie, that one-word or single-image posts are worth a minor infraction. They're not too bad and don't really mean anything, but if you don't want to rack up points behind your back, add some text in there, a couple words maybe.

As for Nova, I coupld even understand your point until I re-read your post a couple times, and it's the most superficial, un-based shit I've ever read. Sure, a kid will be angry when a console's taken away, but they're more interested in getting the console back than they are killing their parents in rage. And if getting the console back results in doing some chores, then hell, the kid will do some chores. What really causes these shootings aren't the games themselves.

For Christ's sake, man, you can't even kill children in video games, and every time a school is in a shooting game, the media flips out. Besides, only excessively violent games are restricted to adults, and there's plenty of awesome, fun games for children out there. But if the kid gets upset over losing, then that's not the fucking game's fault, is it? That's the kid's, and if his parents didn't address his anger issues before he went ballistic, then they're shitty parents who deserve to be shot and killed for being uncaring faggots.

TL;DR
You can't prevent crazy people from doing crazy things by passing crazy laws that only affect the non-crazy 99% of consumers.

Issues with someone being emotionally unstable or angry over trivial things are rarely as simple as telling the kid they need to get their attitude in check. Normal, healthy people do not go 'ballistic' and kill their classmates. If the child has a mental disorder, the parents may not recognize the fact that the child's delinquent behavior showed evidence of a condition that needed to be handled by a professional, and that their efforts to make their child less temperamental are more or less doomed to failure. It's also possible that the child could just be hiding their behavior from their parents.
