give me a step by step list of what a powerless mod is supposed to do when some gay ass hackers administrate themselves on a forum whos admins are deader than shit, with no way of contacting them
please, i'm interested in what you would do, since you're so ****ing smart. this is the internet, its not like we can go and overthrow him.
also, you guy sure do care about this shithole of a forum, funny, since no one in power ****ing does.

Quote from JeremyIts only exilement blaming the mod team for not doing anything when we were actually powerless, im just defending the fact we couldnt do anything
I'm blaming administration more than anything, you're just jumping on me because I mentioned the thread with the local server files/information, which I think is a pretty stupid thing to leave in public view. I wasn't hiding it from the hackers, I was hiding it from ordinary members or anyone else who might be able to take advantage of whatever information was there -- even though it was already compromised, the fewer people who see it, the better, no? But you assumed it just doesn't matter, so whatever, it's over with and wasn't the point of what I was trying to say. Quit being so ****ing defensive.
It was a lack of effort on the administrators' parts, not the mods. I'm aware of that, and based on what you said to TheSaw, you agree with me. So get your panties unfurled and stop attacking me as if I'm turning you into a scapegoat.

Quote from ExilementAll I said was that sensitive data was leaked, we were hacked, nobody did anything about it and the forum went further to shit because of it. The mod forum sections were just as quiet as ever during this whole thing, nobody seemed even remotely concerned. None of that is false, yet you're attacking me personally just for pointing out a collective failure to manage a serious problem. What else would you call this?
Pretty suggestive that you think it was our fault and that we could have done something, BRAH.

He's right you know.

Not like you would have known that anyways, being a regular member and all but we didnt because the hackers could read those forums, not like we are gonna talk about what to do about them right in front of their faces. The mods DID talk about it while in the sp chat, majorly me and index.

Your concerns were for the forum: making it active and enjoyable. The moderator's actions were commendable; however, you all did completely ignore the hacker and treat him as a blessing, rather than a problem. It's not your fault at all, and I don't think anyone is saying that. You all did well, and now we can learn from our mistakes and restart making this forum active and enjoyable again.

Yeah the mod forums being quiet, didn't think that one through, my bad BRAH. You're overreacting to everything else.
I used to be a mod, I'm pretty aware of how little influence you guys would have in a situation like this. The collective failure was on the administrators' parts, not you or any of the other mods.

We had no problem with the hacker screwing around with the forum, because it resulted in him fixing much of the shit the admins didn't fix. Pretty much exactly what Exilement just said. Although we should be grateful that theSaw actually came back and fixed everything, and is willing to hire someone to look over the forum for now on.
