I have to admit that I'm disappointed about this whole merge.
The forums here will have to change a lot. Many users over here have been comfortable with doing whatever they want. Fluidanims' forums have always been more organized and (respectful/obedient?) All the new people would always come this way and be like "hi im so cool at anmtng i hve wathced the stckpage site forvr but this is the furst tiem i make an accont". Better mods and admins will definitely help with cleaning that up, but I have a feeling some people from here and some from FA won't feel comfortable with this change.
Fluidanims just recently updated their portal and main site. I'm under the impression that the whole fluidanims.com will be shut down and turned into a noob-training center. That was a good site, and even a lot of work went into the forums. Now what? All that's being thrown away?
This merge is going to take forever if Fluidanims is bringing over all their stuff.

I didn't like it at first but after hanging out here for a few days I think I can deal with it. You guys/girls(CE) are all pretty cool. Unfortunately that doesn't go for a lot of other people. Mainly on FA

We're going to transfer over our animations when the new.portal comes out to help start the content build. Non of it was for a waste by anymeans. I did it for the greater good of our community as a whole, dividing it up has always been the biggest thorn in its progression. I spent over a year contemplating all the factors that come into play. Yes, there will be lost and things both wont like from the start, but overall the end result has limitless potential.

Im taking one large risk and leap to help perpetuate our art forward and secure what we love to do to exist for many years to come and exist as the very best and largest online collection of amazingly talented and capable animators, stick.or otherwise.

edit: Excuse my random periods or typos at this time, on my phone and i have massive.thumbs with extremely tiny keys :/

I get why it's good for you stone, as you'll probably be better off with a site that has more views and is more well-known, but I don't feel very comfortable with this merge.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens here.
