Also, just because FA was made as a result of stone seeing SP, doesn't mean a merger makes it stay as SP. FA and SP are both indepedent sites. That's like saying since Facebook was made after Myspace, Facebook is just Myspace.

Your analogy of Facebook and Myspace doesn't work, because the owner of Myspace never merged with Facebook. The users just switched to Facebook, but here FA is merging, and FA(if I'm correct)will disappear with this merge.

I don't understand why FluidAnims doesn't even have an announcement on the front page about the merge. Nothing. It's like it's not even a big event. When is something going to happen? When do we get a portal?

I was using that as an analogy but not pertaining to the merge. Its basically like saying since Stickpage came first, Fluidanims isn't a real site.

Just because Stickpage came first, and Fluidanims is now merging with Stickpage, doesn't mean it's "just SP". There are members from a community over at FA, who are unique, and awesome.

From what I understand it's less about who came first than who is bigger. Stone is trying to get all FA's great animations seen by more people and CJ is trying to get good animations for all the people who come to SP to watch. If StickPage closed and joined FA, or if StickPage was renamed, neither of these goals would be accomplished and it would be pointless.

because it is a sticky in the very active forums (or the forums which used to be very active until the merge came) + IRC where the biggest part of the community was

ive been adjusting here for a bit now and i gotta admit i was crazy confused with how it all worked at first but now i feel as at home as mah gmas house! :D
