Okay, I'm a bit new here and this will be my first time making a thread, so if anyone has made one similar to this, I'm sorry.
So anyway, I've thinking about this ever since my friend got suspended for swapping blows with his girlfriend on school grounds. See, she was calling him all these names and he didn't do anything but try to walk away. He turned around when she called him a pussy and he called her a bitch. She gave him the hardest of slaps and he pushed her.
Now I know my limits. I can take insults all day and not say a word to girls. I do, however, have breaking points. I have a 5 hit rule, where a female will get slapped with moderate force should she hit me more than 5 times. Then there's the 3 hit rule if she's heavy handed, because I can't personally take more than three Mike Tyson punches from a girl. Both rules are nullified if she has a dangerous weapon and intends on endangering my life with it. My rule also is ejected if a very manly lesbian attempts to fight me because if it looks, talks, acts, thinks, and hits like a man, I'm gonna forget it might be a female.
Although my rules may be offensive to some, I feel my rules are acceptable due to the likelihood these conditions may happen. I really want to know how you all feel on this subject, so honest opinions are welcomed.:D
Is there any real reason for a man to hit a woman or vice versa?

Maybe in self-defense, but then if people kept their hands to themselves then there would be no reason for that. So I'd say no.

You can easily subdue someone without 'hitting' them.

I don't think I would really take gender into account. There are very few situations when I would hit anyone full stop.

I don't think I've ever fought anyone in my entire life, for real (I took a martial arts class for a while though, but that's not real). I'm really good at evading conflicts, and I wonder why.

Bingo. Gender has nothing to do with it, there's absolutely no justifiable reason for someone to hit another person, unless their safety would be compromised if they didn't.

If my life is in danger... Fuck yeah i'm hitting that bitch.

I'm a firm believer in sexual equality; to hit a woman any less hard than I would a man would be an insult to her position in society!

Edit: In general it's just fucking bad to hit people, hence it being pretty much against the law to assult another person. In self defense if the woman's really able to fight and started a physical confrontation, I'd try to take myself out of risk. but who knows, maybe I'm also pissed at this person, and want to fight her for reasons she also wants to hit me for. Maybe this girl just killed somebody close to me. So in general, I avoid hitting people, but if the opportunity was hitting me in the face, I'd probably hit them back, because I don't fucking like being hit in the face.
I think a bad situation just really gets worse if the person's weaker than you, and it's a one-sided fight. thanks to the difference in our genders' muscular structure, the complete neutered chances of an average guy fighting an average girl with average backgrounds will more likely have the guy winning, just because of how we're built as a species. I'm not suggesting all girls are weaker than all guys, but it offers what could be a mismeasured fight which always ends up fucking bad.
Theoretically yes, but most people don't know the techniques to pin someone without harming them. Also whenever someone's really pissed off and in a demeaning subduing hold, all they're thinking is what they're going to do when they get out of it. When someone's really pissed off and just got punched in the mouth, they're thinking "ow i just got punched in the mouth really hard. I hope no one does that again! I think I'll quit while I'm ahead and not chance getting punched in the mouth again." I've seen this all happen at my school in the same fight.
As 'old fashioned' as this may sound, men are different from women. They have equal rights because all humans deserve equality, but it's just a general fact that most guys can beat up most girls. I'm saying words like general and most because I'm aware that there are a lot of women that don't fit into this, and train to defend themselves/get ripped, but in a societal norm, a guy can take down a girl. They just have a muscular advantage, especially between ages 16 and 25. It's just how people are structured. That's why sports are separated into sexes.
I'm just saying it should still be taken into account no matter how equal you all think you are. Going in with the mindset that men and women are equal in every way no matter what can get you in serious shit just for 'defending yourself'. It's still a bad thing to beat up a girl.

I think he's just saying that it's wrong to hit people in general, physical differences aside you still shouldn't strike another person unless you absolutely need to do so.

Yeah im talking about when you do though.

Well what reason can you think of where those differences make hitting someone justifiable, where it otherwise wouldn't be?

Not really sure. Can't come up with an example. The fact that there are differences brings more measurement and difficulty in gauging what to do rather than just hitting another guy. That's really all I'm saying. I don't really think hitting people is that justifiable in the first place but people do it for their own reasons, and I'm just going off that.
i dunno i think im typing too much for how not strongly i feel about this.

I'd punch a bitch. Preferably while wearing my white sleaveles t-shirt and trucker cap.
But seriously, if a female was attacking me I would use equal force back to subdue her, and I would not have any moral qualms about doing so. I've been told that's not the right thing to do in that case, but then what the hell is? I don't give a fuck what it is, if I'm being attacked, I'm going to do everything in my power to make it stop. If that means I have to punch a woman unconscious, then so be it. It's better than potentially being murdered.

IF I had to punch someone, then I would usually try not to hit the woman due to my moral reasoning unless it was for the sake of my life. I would punch a guy no doubt if I had to. I don't really have a reason why; it just happens to be this way.
