If you really like Bake, I recommend watching Katanagatari next. Same type of banter/excellent dialogue and lovable characters, but with awesome non-shounenshit fights. Don't put Nisemonogatari (continuation of Bake) on your watching list anytime soon unless you're keen on fanservice and like Shinobu a lot.

I don't mind fanservice, but that can't be what makes the show, otherwise it's a turn off. I tried to watch Persona 4, but couldn't get into it.

Edit: How would you describe shounenshit, by the way?

1. MC losing to super strong villain
2. MC has DETERMINATION and then has an epiphany while laying on the ground GGRR NEVER GIVE UP
3. or uses the power of friendship/love/flashback to some shit
4. EXTREME POWERUP!!!1 defeats villain who was supposed to be ultra powerful, also might not even kill him cuz that would be bad
5. goes on to training arc and gets even stronger
6. later MC is so much stronger that previous villain is just a scrub in comparison
7. villains are clear cut "evil" and don't seem reasonable at all

also what makes the show for Nise is the characters; I just think you should spend your time watching critically acclaimed series first and foremost instead of fapfiction, unless you're really into it

Fair enough. This is new. I haven't ever really had an intelligent conversation about anime. I just drool and clap at the "cool" fights.

Personally, I prefer just arguing about which girl is best girl while posting funny pictures.

I haven't got that far yet. You'll have to bare with me until I can participate without getting trolled.
