So I'm rewatching Ef
Guys remember when shaft made good anime and the awkward artsy shots were less awkward and more artsy?
Sigh
It seems so long ago now...

Ef was too much for me, I couldn't handle it.

But I watched a shitty dub if I recall.

You mean emotionally or plotwise? And in what way
and god please no, I remember that dub it came this close to giving me cancer of every kind, it was so bad
HD streams/downloads of the subbed version do exist though so if your issue was mostly with thedub I suggest you give it another go

Honestly, I don't quite remember what I mean by "too much." I just remember watching the dub and face-palming, because everything seemed so over the top.

Yeah same, that was pretty much my first experience with the show as well
I remember I couldn't find it subbed like anywhere so I just watched the dub and my reaction was something along the lines of "people like this??"

Maybe I'll give the subbed version a real shot. But I have a few things on my list before then - Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter, and one of those Fate series.

I can vouch for both fma and fate, those are pretty great.
Depending on which order you're watching fate in, you might want to postpone that until unlimited blade works ends in june though
I hear only good things about the recent hunter x hunter, I should probably give that a watch sometime.
it's just so... long...

I watched episode 0 and 1 of Fate/Stay Night...I think. The sequence of those series' makes no sense to me tbh.

Either way, whatever I watched seemed pretty good

Which comes first? Fate Zero? Fate/Stay Night? The blade one? Is the blade one the same thing as the Stay night?

Clearly I haven't really looked into it that much but yeah, I'm just a bit confused

Ohhh, I see
well to put it simply, Fate/Zero is the prequel to Fate/Stay Night.
there are two stay nights right now, Unlimited Blade Works which aired in the fall and the old studio Deen version of stay night.
they're essentially the same series, except that they focus on different routes in the visual novel and unlimited blade works is considerably better than the deen version. So basically, Zero is first, UBW is second, never watch the old one.
but since zero is a prequel it's up to you which order you plan to watch the series in

Ohh okay, gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'm assuming what I saw was the newer Stay Night because the animation was really beautiful and seemed hi-def.

Say, you're working on a Fate animation right? From the stills I saw, looks great so far. Keep up the good work man.

Yeah, you watched the newer one. That one doesn't continue until the spring though, so if you're gonna watch zero then it now, you'll have to wait a while for it to finish

Wow, can't believe that Liar Game've reached to the final chapter, it's been a journey. Wouldnt it be better if it ended right at the 200th chapter? Haha, I wish there're more from that.

Hunter x Hunter is great

I'm imagining 148 episodes will fly by as you get to the Chimera Ant arc though, since that pretty much takes up more than all the other arcs.
