View Profile Isn't Boku no Hero Acamedia getting a lot of praise and hype? What about it?
Also, is it better to watch the 3 previous arc of Jojo before this one to get a grasp of what's going on? Or the stories are unrelated?
Boku no Hero Academia's anime is okay so far. There are a few changes I don't really agree with so far, but overall it's an acceptable adaptation. The manga is really solid, and I'm a sucker for the art style.
As for Jojo, the stories are unrelated, but each show makes plenty of references to previous iterations that make the story make more sense. I mean honestly I would just watch the first three arcs just because they're solid anime in their own right.

humor. I had minimal expectations of the show, figuring it'd be basically "yet another comfy rural japan anime" at best but it's actually been quite entertaining so far.

Because I personally wouldn't recommend Terraformars or Black Clover, and I also think Bleach and Kuroko no Basket are pretty redundant recommendations since most people have read it already. One Piece is up there because I think it deserves even more reads than it already does. Boku no Hero Academia didn't have many chapters out by the time the list was created, which is why it isn't there.

View Profile I recommend seeing Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade. Movie's really artistic, the animation is emotionally charged. Pretty clear and direct comparable to live-action movies

View Profile Kiznaiver is shaping up to be one of my favourite anime this season, just because the premise interests me and the characters are likeable. Though it didn't start this season, Assassination Classroom is SO good, and it keeps getting better. What are your picks for favourite anime of this season?

View Profile To those looking for a good anime to watch, I recommend "Sakamoto desu ga?"
"First year high school student Sakamoto isn't just cool, he's the coolest! Almost immediately after starting school, he began attracting everyone's attention. The girls love him, and most of the boys resent him. There's even a boy in the class who works as a model, but who is constantly upstaged by Sakamoto! No matter what tricks the other boys try to play on him, Sakamoto always manages to foil them with ease and grace. Though Sakamoto may seem cool and aloof, he helps others when asked, such as in the case of the boy in his class who was being constantly bullied. No matter what difficulties Sakamoto encounters, he moves through his high school life with confidence and class.
I can't get enough of this anime. It kinda teaches me more about common sense and how to overcome life obstacles.
Anyways, when you have the chance let me know your thoughts. This anime is worth the watch.

Did it get any better after the first episode? I dropped it right away pretty much.

View Profile We just watched Ajin on Netflix and it was pretty awesome. Probably one of my favorite anime's right now. The only have season 1 right now though, so we're waiting till season 2 comes out. There's also some confusion about a movie trilogy for it as well. Not sure if that is taking the place of seasons 2 and 3 or if they are going side by side with it.

I'm reading the manga and I'm enjoying it so far, but I stayed away from the movies/anime since they're all animated in 3D and those mostly tend not to end up so well. I guess it might be worth watching?

View Profile The animation isn't that bad. It's 3D, but they did a pretty good job of flattening it out. There's only a few scenes where it really popped out. Also most of the backgrounds are 2D and some even appeared to have a painted kind of look to them, so it's mostly just to give the characters smoother animation. It all worked together pretty good imo, I think they did a good job with it. Can't speak for the movies though, haven't seen them. But I'm pretty they are/were done by most of the same animators. I have read they've been released in Japan already, but not 100% sure.
