I couldn't watch Soul Eater. The first episode was dumb as fuck and the characters are all annoying. Does it get better or is it more of that same shit?

It's more or less the same type of humor later on but it does has some nice character development, although the plot stays kinda weak imo

Hey I actually like the plot, I think it's solid if you can get past the cheesyness of the show.

Like most animes, the overall story is better and makes more sense in the manga. If you need cool fight scenes watch the anime though, but I recommend the manga. ._.

Soul eater's better than most shonens... plus it has much better production value than the other ones. Blackstar is the most annoying shitbag ever though. I thought it was okay, I was also really reluctant to watch it at first
