Haven't watched DtB at all in a while. It was the first thing I watched. But I remember it being like this: S1 = OVA > S2

Man, I just got caught up on Eureka Seven: AO. So exciting holy shit. Sometimes I find it hard to follow, but the last two episodes (12 and 13) were fantastic and really explained quite a bit. I had to go back and watch a lot of Eureka Seven to remind myself a whole bunch of stuff, though. I had completely forgotten about the Limit of Questions. Does anyone else watch this series? I'd love to talk to someone else about it.
Also Sakamichi is depressing as fuck. I still have to watch the last episode. :(

The first hellsing sucked so don't watch it, It wasn't bad just lame. But the second one (or season Idk) Has some cool fight scenes. If your a religious person then you might not be comfortable, but I am religous and It was still pretty cool. Just really lame at times.

Full metal alchemist is cool but at sometimes The people seem to be really retarded. They know some people are bad and do nothing, In fact they just talk and laugh with them. also pretty Non religious show so You might be wary.
Bleach Fights are kind of boring and They have waaaaayy to many fillers mostly just talking, or playing soccer-_-. But it has a great story line and good character development.
Naruto Is just plain cool, but at times annoying with the whole sasuke thing, they should just rename it sasuke.
The get backers is about these two friends who get things back for people, the things usually being paranormal and frightening.
The boondocks has cool fight scenes and is funny, Also political. It's the story about a upper middle class black family dealing with racism, favoritism, prejudice, and well everything else. may not be anime but that shit is just as good.
One piece is good in the later episodes. But be warned, If you know the story, then you know how stupid it is. They lost track of what they wanted in the early episodes-_-.
Dragon ball z is old. Like nearly 30 yrs old. But the story comes in different arcs which is cool and is likely the longest lasting anime ever. from the original to the fan spin offs. In dragon ball they focused on nice martial arts fights and a few energy beams, Then well then it gets epic. They can fly, transform, be brought back to life through a magical dragon, can't be harmed by bullets and swords or even energy blast, they can blow up planets and galaxies, they are aliens(some), they can level entire mountains. And humorous at times, basically the root of all animes after it. Even authors said it.
Samurai champloo has some bad ass fights dude.
Afro samurai has arguably the best fight scene ever with a sword
highschool of the dead has hot girls. Like boner material even if they are cartoons.

I Agree, first hellsing wasn't so good.
Ultimate OVA was alot better. I couldn't stop watching the Rip Van Winkle scene when she sings a piece of "The Freeshooter"
Anderson's lines aren't bad either and he has a major role through the story !

First of all the original hellsing anime has more style than the ultimate ova by landslide.
Second of all that show was made when the manga only had a few chapters out, because the writer was a lazy fuck that took so long to push out chapters the writer of the show had to improvise basically all of the script. That said I believe he did a spectacular fucking job considering the difficult circumstances.
Thirdly, the character Alucard, despite near identical appearance and the same voice actor are not really the same character. The original Alucard is more of a quirky, alien feeling character. It's almost like he knows a secret and won't tell anyone. He would say and do things to try and push Integra over the edge, to give into her desire. He didn't appear to enjoy the actual act of violence anywhere near as much as the one from ultimate. His pretension to the humans isn't so direct as the others too.
Alucard from ultimate, less of an ostentatious and strange character. It's easy to see that his real dilemma isn't that he struggles to understand the humans, it's more like he is in constant battle with the inner beast. For every time you see a shred of his former humanity he has a moment that demonstrates his feral side and his inability to stop himself from giving in at times.
Here's an example between the two.
Sorry for the poor quality on this one.

In the original series he's much more based on presence and atmosphere.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx8oMQcinm8&feature=related
You can obviously tell his attention stops being about killing once he notices Integra.
He had a mad infatuation with Integra, almost like a frustrated love for her. What the scene doesn't show is him watching over her in her surgery and leaving just as she wakes up.
In ova it's much more focused on his animal side.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2DI-7uTceI
All his attention diverts onto the violence.
If it seems I'm biased, I'm not really. There's just not as much to say about the Alucard from ultimate as his character is pretty shallow in comparison. THough you could argue that they expected you to have watched the original, so that you'd better comprehend the character regardless.
I am not saying that the original is better, on the contrary. Ultimate is better in many ways, production value, animation quality etc.
But ultimates plot can't really earn as much praise to me considering that the writer has had a GRATUITOUS amount of time to write it compared to the other guy. Plus I actually prefer the original Alucard, he's more complex and his developments are nice.
Granted ultimate is clearly more badass. But condemning the original because it is less epic and badass without considering the following is shallow and I feel is an obvious lack in anime taste refinement.

Watch Brotherhood. Easily my favorite, and I dare say it is a perfect show. Unless you mean Brotherhood already, in which case I disagree lol.
Miccool, either you or Jomm were the one to show me that video a long while back. I thank you for that : )

But despite all that writing, all you basically said was "It was lame, But since it was Hellsing I'll forget that." I like anime but I'm not a huge fanatic of all types. I Just like visual treats, great story line, good character development, and clear sense of strengths and weaknesses. (P.s Never watch the devils may cry anime, he literally beat the fuck out of all his enemies up until his 2 minute boss fight. T'F"

Some parts of brotherhood are like that. (the fuhrer and his boy) also they seem impossible to beat. Scar is my favorite by the way, And I also live in texas.

I seem to be the only person I know to say this, but I liked the original Full Metal Alchemist much more than Brotherhood. I can't honestly give you paragraphs of details as to why like some others possibly could, but the story was better in my opinion and it was just.... better.. to me. Not saying brotherhood was bad though, it had some amazing moments, but yeah.

That's not what I said, not even remotely. You misinterpreted my entire post. As I said, it has more style than ultimate does. That's the opposite of lame. Just like I said, Alucard actually develops MORE in the original if you had actually read my post.
Not only do you express your ignorance, you express your awful taste too, practically admitting to it. You're the type that likes flashy lights over any actual depth. I even presented valid arguments as to why the originals plot was better in many ways, especially since the writer didn't resort to cheap villains like "nazis".
Unless you'll actually read my posts and understand them, don't debate them with me.
Otherwise, fuck off.
You insipid hoipolloi drone.

Unless Hellsing wasn't serialized then the author couldn't have been lazy. (Or he would have been cut off right away.) It's more likely that the animation studio wanted an original plot for the anime so it wouldn't have to have fillers. (Since manga is released monthly while anime episodes are usually running every week,) Or the mangaka didn't want the anime to have the same plot so people would still have to buy the manga to read the original story.

GODDAMNIT TENMA do you not sleep ._.
and anyway, I'm going to have to agree with jutsu on this right here. The origional hellsing story was entertaining even if the animation wasn't the best. That doesn't really matter much to me. The new one I just got bored with and dropped... I mean....... Nazis?.. Really?
