Unfortunately I haven't. Now that I think about it I haven't seen nearly enough Ghibli films.
I think I'll marathon a few when I have spare time.

Finished welcome to the nhk,
Good anime but if somone didn't give me a false spoiler to the ending that kept getting me worried, I feel I would of enjoyed it much more.
(Trying not to give spoilers for people who havn't seen it)

Maybe I could get into it.

Lucky star is just...no.
naruto was only good for a few arcs, then shippuden came; the manga is still better.

take away naruto and bleach cause they are never ending crap...the first 80 episodes for both are as far as i would go and they were good...but then they ran out of ideas and became just straight BS...The others i have no problems with because some of them i havent seen yet and no idea how they are...I would also add Sword Art Online it was one of the best anime's i have ever watched and it was only 25 episodes

A good anime show to get into is Samurai Champloo. It's a pretty good series and you should watch it.

Samurai Champloo is really great. Then I watched it while I was high.
It was bewilderingly incredible.

Whether it be because the art and animation is a little dated, somewhere along the way the production team fucked it up, or there is some aspect that could greatly be improved upon, I think we all have at least a few anime that we would kill for to see remade.
So if you held the keys to a vault filled with infinite product funds, what anime would you breathe life into? Do you have a preferred studio you would throw money at to make it? And for bonus points, what anime do you hold so sacred, that it would be a personal insult if someone did a retelling?

At the top of my list would be Serial Experiments Lain, its not really old, but it could look absolutely stunning, especially if I could get Ufotable to do the honours. If Ufortable combined their dark style from Kara no Kyoukai and Fate/ zero with Lain's mind fuckery and a subject that is more relevant now than it was back in 98, well, I might as well just blow my load now. But they better include a nice OST, although not really having one worked in the original, I think a soundtrack could add so much tension to the show.

My second would be Angel Beatz! I don't know, there was just a feeling on inconsistency in the show that stopped it from being great, characters I liked didn't get enough time in the light, certain things didn't make much sense, and it just felt unfocused. I don't know who I'm going to give this one to, but whoever it is, they better take their time, get the pacing right, and while I'm rolling in money I guess I can pay for them to make it a 26 ep series.

Hehe, this I thought I would never say, but I would like to see a remake of Bleach. Yes, Bleach. I've made it no secret that I can't take shounen seriously, but I actually liked Bleach, to an extent. Take away the filler, give the characters a second dimension, cut down the supporting cast, re-write that ending, toss the fan-service out the window and focus that plot into maybe 70 episodes and I can't see how you don't have gold. Add Bones to the equation and Bleach might actually deserve the fandom it has. No really, imagine the sword fighting in Sword of the Stranger in Bleach.

But thats enough from me. What classic or favorites do you want to dust off and polish?
