Exilement says there's no such thing (see previous pages), but I believe the eye can track around 36 frames per second. I'm not going to say I know better than Exilement - he's been here longer than me and I can't quote any scientific studies off the top of my head to support my case - but I would really struggle to pick out an individual frame above that rate whereas I like to think I can give frame-by-frame criticism on anything less.

24 FPS will suit your needs perfectly. Just don't overdue the double framing. I personally never double framed, it's just plain lazyness.

so all i've been reading here is shit. First, the human eye sees at about 46 fps (check out wikipedia), and animating at that fps is, well, very unnessecarily HARD. So most animators use 24 ps as there regular, becuase it is smooth and at the same time not so hard to animate, although i do sometimes use 20 fps.

What you all didn't know is that it's really well over 200 fps. That's what the unconsious mind recieves. A small part of that carrying the most important things are sent to the consious part. I think that causes a loss in frames and therefore cuts back in fps. No one realizes this?

all of you trying to say the human eye has a frame rate, shut the flying fuck up already. especially you, FFA, for asking "nobody realizes this?" to a statement that's false.

eyes don't process visual information in terms of FPS. I'm not going to keep repeating myself.

Eyes process information in terms of images per second, and from a documentary i barely remember seeing i think that number is 80 in normal situations, and like several hundred in panic situations or some shit.
