I'm called emo by chavs alot. All because my jeans are tight and i have a fringe, which completely defines me as emo, obviously.
Any kid with a fringe and jeans is an emo.

I have chav mates, alot of them. I have emo mates, who try really hard to be "scene". They're both alright.

Just because he's not standing in front of you face-to-face and has known you for years doesn't mean he can't determine your personality. He's making an assumption about your personality based on your posts, which is legitimate considering what you're writing reflects what you're thinking. Why do you assume that's why he's calling you a poser? You don't know what he's thinking, so stop putting words in his mouth.

Being called an emo is generally an insulting term, due to the generalizations and stereotypes harbored to it. It's not something those classified as emos want to define themselves as considering that fact, so that's why they don't label themselves as emos.

But hey, how are you supposed to know anyway? You're the kid who thought being emo was the same thing as being a Satanist.

And stop going to a new line for each sentence you write. It's unnecessary.

Well the tight jeans and the fringe are the emo style clothing, but that doesn't necessarilly make one an emo. Take me, for instance: I wear baggy clothing and listen to hip-hop, but that doesn't mean I'm a gangsta.

True. Although, It's also an Indie thing. Which is what it started as in England, i think. Before emo became a large thing in England. Now it's a stupid amount.

actually the 666 thing was a joke designed off the stereotypes of other chavs in my school.
apparently we're all devil-worshippers, goths, punks, mosh, all rolled into one, and we spend all our time crying.

but yeah, i didnt become an emo because of that. i was emo beforehand.
