Those who want/have "power" have absolutely no reason to destroy the entire human race. I get what you're saying but a desire for power isn't going to necessarily lead to the end of life as we know it, and in the context of this topic I don't think it's relevant.

Hell, the mongol empire killed over 10% of the human population in their conquests, and they still failed. Along with everyone else who ever tried to establish power over the entire world.

Quote from Captain Cook
For the Mafia, they've lost a lot of ground, probably all of it in recent years because the period during which they became big was during the Prohibition.

Just based off his odd grammar and the location "Campobasso", I'm going to assume he's talking about the Sicilian mafia, not the one you're talking about.

Quote from Captain Cook
the true definition of nations is the surrendering of one's rights for the protection of himself.

Without nations, no one has a right to anything. The only thing you're surrendering is natural law -- instead of doing whatever the fuck you want regardless of how much it harms others, you play by the rules, to help ensure the mutual safety of yourself and everyone else in whatever society you live in.

Lol, the Mafia doesn't exist "Just to be Evil!!!!", The Mafia, as every other "bad" group, exists for a reason. For the Mafia, they've lost a lot of ground, probably all of it in recent years because the period during which they became big was during the Prohibition. The Mafia only became big not because they were EviL!!!!! But rather because they served as dealers when it came to alcohol and drugs. However, now that alcohol is legal and the fact that an eleven year old can get weed in an hour or less, the Mafia has no reason to exist. And no, the Mafia doesn't work to "damage the nation" you fucking sod. If they damaged the nation, the nation would come after them. And coming from personal experience, there is nothing that pisses off police officers more than a cop-killer.

ok, "sod",
1 never said mafia was evil
2 their success isn't involved only with prohibition: it's different from nation to nation
3 yes, they damaged the nation: they have a lot of money and money sources not declared, taking away money to the nation and, consequencially, to all the people in it
4 don't try to look cool saying "from personal experience"

about exilement, what I meant is that because of this power search, everyone wants to be stronger than the others

if you noticed, many weapons are made to kill always more people, unless bombs have other uses

I already explained that an overwhelming majority of people don't want violent, oppressive, potentially destructive power over others. Stop generalizing.

Even if that's true, I explained how a desire for power has no potential to wipe out all of humanity, which is what this topic is about. You're just repeating arguments that I've already responded to.

No it's not.

I have an uncle that works in a prison! I know about prisons!!

That's not how it works. I actively work with law enforcement, and every year we go to an even with our fire department and do drills alongside law enforcement officials.

but, about the death of a police officer, all of this is nothing, since is obvious the behaviour collegues take in these situations

what you're saying is nearly incomprehensible.

If you're asking about how the cops react around dead guys, it's the same way the fire department does. We joke about it and keep the mood light so that we can focus on our job instead of the dangers involved.

what did you not understand of about the death of a police officer and colleagues? Not talking about dead guys in general

they treat death in general the same way, whether officer or not. but officer deaths annoy them more.

Point being, you won't get away with killing a cop.

I think he's saying personal experience doesn't exactly strengthen an already-obvious claim like "cops hate people who kill cops". No shit. It's on the same level as that King of the Hill episode where Peggy says "The day after Thanksgiving is, in my opinion, the biggest shopping day of the year".

That said, this is a stupid argument over semantics and I don't see how police officers have anything to do with the topic. Just trying to explain his point so you two will shut up and quit arguing about two different things.

I really don't think it's a good idea for someone to participate in philosophical debates in a language they aren't even conversationally fluent in.
