When I say suffering I'm talking about things like cancer, birth defects, natural disasters etc.
And the good things that happen in the world can't be called proof of god, unless all the bad things that happen can be called proof against god. Just as Cobalt said.
Is God good?

The 33 wipings jesus got, 33 categories of cancer(i dont even know if that's still correct)
but leokill, you cant ignore the good things too.And if your 16, are you trying to win such a controversial argument?
and scooty, i prayed, but my grandfather died. But you see, I still remain faithful. And you know what?I did hated God for a bit, for taking him away, but what you fail to realize is that according to the bible, god doesn't do things, rather, let them happen. Its the-you know what?2 I dont even what to explain that. Becuase you guys think, what the hell is this guy thinking.

I do not understand what your point is regarding my age. Are you saying that I'm not allowed to debate at this age? Or question religion?
And yes, you can't ignore the good things that happen, but you can't ignore the bad things either, which was my point.

Well, that is a good point
I understand, and when I say your age, at 16, this is such a big argument that extends of the bounds of Stickpage, so trying to understand it will do nothing
I think now, to protect what everybody thinks, a mod should go for the 3 pointer for this thread and bin it
its kinda old anyways

You do understand that this is the debate section right? It's not here to "protect what everybody thinks". You're supposed to discuss your beliefs here, to defend them, and to question them.
And "Trying to understand it will do nothing."
Are you kidding me?
You need to be able to know why you believe the things you do. No matter what your age is. If you find yourself at the losing end of the argument every time, maybe it's time to reconsider your position.

Oh, I dont find my self trying to get out of the situation at all, but I think this thread will just get to heated and religous, but if you say......
I do really protect what I believe and I know why I believe in it.

Quote from Alien Animssometimes I follow the saying, "its better safe than sorry." Because nobody knows what happens after death, so IF the atheists are wrong, then they just go to hell.
The safest thing to do would be to find out which religion has the worst punishment for non-believers and follow that one. I think the Christian god is supposed to be one of the more forgiving ones. You should probably pray to Anubis.

Haha no, you don't.
If that were true, I have no idea why you would say this:
Quote from Alien AnimsThe 33 wipings jesus got, 33 categories of cancer(i dont even know if that's still correct)
You don't know if that makes sense, but you decided to bring it up in a debate instead of.. I don't know, spending 10 seconds in Google first? There are a lot more than 33 types of cancer, and if you cared at all about verifying the information you base your beliefs off of, I wouldn't have to explain this to you.

In my opinion GOD is good. The reason why you'll experience bad things in your life its because it's your punishment from GOD, and for me all gods we have now is just the same, the only problem is we named them different and worshiped them differently from each other. One last thing, HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE ALMIGHTY GOD!!??? You're violating His powerful and Holy Rules.
What?? I think Anubis is just a statue god in the Egypt(no offense in that :) ). Our GOD is one of the forgiving ones I think even the most forgiving. And your signature saying
If you're referring that to yourself, then you have no right to say that you are God, if your referring that to yourself. :D (no hard feelings but seriously its true)

And I think your god is just a fictional character depicted in 2000 year old desert scribblings written by primitive bronze age tribesmen.

But Zed is a god. Who are you to say he's not?

I question everything, because I need to be able to tell reality from fiction. We humans are capable of critical thinking. Utilize this ability

i don't really think god is good, i mean just because you don't believe in him you will be send to hell and be torched forever, that not a loving god, but a pretty rude god to be honest
edit: to be honest i don't get why there need to be a god in the first place
