Maybe if they don't do it his way, my point was more that I don't think they're going to fuck up the new movies because Lucas ISN'T controlling every aspect of it. The first 3 movies are generally regarded as the best because Lucas didn't have 100% control and his retarded decisions and ideas were constantly challenged. The last 3 were written and directed almost entirely if not completely by Lucas himself, and we ended up with a cartoon rabbit. You can see behind the scenes videos where Lucas is talking to his staff about certain ideas, and the ideas are clearly fucking stupid, but he's still laughing about them, so everyone else around is also laughing really nervously as if they didn't want to get fired for challenging him. With Lucas out of the way, I kind of actually have hope. A new hope.

Your post made me nod and smile, but that last line made me wish you had been an abortion.

I'm going to wait it out and give this movie a chance too. At worst, this still can't be worse than Attack of the Clones.

Maybe you just deleted all my articulation and other exceptional examples. NO ONE ELSE CAN PROVE ME OTHERWISE.

why are people angry about this? lucas films is a piece of shit company. it only costs so much because of how much cash money you can make by slapping star wars on something. and why are ya'll acting like this is going to ruin star wars? georgie was waaaaaaay ahead of them on that one. and to those who think disney 'ruins everything they touch', i'm pretty sure you enjoyed the last few marvel movies, and are looking forward to Iron Man 3

Thats what I said. No matter what they do, they will never be able to outsuck Attack of the Clones.

Guys, not entirely sure what you have to worry about. Its mostly a trade of royalties and earnings. I wouldn't imagine Disney deciding to continue the series or anything. It's more so just them having another area to market to and for. They can't go back in time and alter the endings to the existing movies lol. If anything, you'll just see the older films back on the shelf again for your desire to purchase. Or simply remastered HD / Blu ray.

From a business stand point, I think Lucas just wanted to retire and even though the movies are done, there is a lot of business that has to be handled on a day to day for something like he would have been in control of on the non-producing side. At some point, with gobs of money, you have to toss in the towel and call it quits. I'm trying to convince my boss at the coffee shop for the same thing lol. Obviously, different situation- but relate-able.

What's the problem here? If they're producing a new film I'm all for it, if you don't want to watch it then don't.. but I can't imagine you don't actually want another SW film. Imho i would probably just watch them for the badass saber fights.
