Recentely in English class we had such a debate question, and I want to know what you all think about this.
To change yourself, the society, or your surroundings, is to simply run away from your problems.
Do you agree with that? Or do you think we should face the problems instead?
I hope this is a debatable topic.
Interesting question.
How exactly is changing yourself a means of running away from your problems? Changing yourself, and gaining a new perspective on things is a very difficult thing to do, if anything I would consider it a means of facing and overcoming problems.
Or changing society for that matter. How is changing society running away from problems, isn't it the exact opposite? If people never tried to change society we might still be under the control of monarchies. None of the worlds most important revolutions would've ever happened. Weren't these revolutions a means of facing problems and changing them on a massive scale?
I don't understand how else you figure people should face their problems. Could you elaborate on your viewpoint here?
