I'm flattered by the compliment. Thank you for enjoying my work. :)
What I'm personally worried about is that if Easytoon becomes more like proper animation software, it will no longer be free. And though I couldn't see them charging more than $20USD for it, I'm afraid it would turn off newcomers.
The way Easytoon is right now is meant to be a first draft program. Ideas are put together on screen using a very small suite of simple tools. The animator can see the raw quality of the idea and imagine what it will look like in a more advanced program. If they decide to take it there, it's simple to export as .gif and then trace over the rough cut. I'd like to keep it this way. Makes for an interesting and unique style.

Sorry for the bump. I'm working on a new animation. Wanted to compare the progress to what it's based off of.

Bumpdate Dubbletoast

Gonna finish the transformation and add a sweet two layer background. Close to completion.

Never posted this update mostly due to a lack of response. Decided to pick this back up today and I'm currently working on the background. No WIP posts will be made, just the final work.

Well thank you, Rathaken!
Here is a new update. Well, 2 weeks old, but, still...

I have to put the background behind the zooming of the sparrow which is going to suck.
But then it will be done.
Until I decide to color it . . . . .

It's based on "The Sword in the Stone" by Disney. :)
Thank you very much. I'm glad you like it.

It was nice but I think the flapping part is a little lackluster, it would have probably looked nicer if it looked like he was struggling more to stay in the air
good job though
also jesus christ this thread is ancient, you're really dedicated to this easytoon thing

Thanks for the criticism, Drone, it's much appreciated and duly noted. I haven't touched it since then but I'll make sure I alter it before adding the background. It will be a while anyway as I have to redraw each frame of the background to zoom in on Sparrow Arthur.
Anyway, something quick and simple.

Grill, I loved the Sword in the Stone stuff. How long does it take you to do that?

I completely though you were dead, lol. Honestly, its amazing what you're able to get out of such a simple software, and some of the things that you do without the use of layers just baffles me. Kudos to you, man.

10 years and 100 animations.

EDIT: Forgot to reply.
Not_Nish : Depending on the animation, it can take many hours. The Sparrow animation is honestly an embarrassing number of work hours. Probably close to 40, in total. Much of that was editing, and then of course the laborious task of layering two separate background layers and a foreground layer(particle effects). This recent one was less than two hours as you can see in the beginning.
Root: Thank you very much. I thought I was dead, as well, for a long time.
kinto: Always nice to get compliments from a fellow Easytooner. Thank you.
