Although when we animate stick fights we usually don't have a particular fighting style in mind, there are still many that inspire our fights and others we just find interesting.

Discuss your favorite fighting styles and different moves or techniques that are used. (hip throws, osoto gari, uppercut, etc.) My personal favorite fighting styles are Muy Thai, Judo, Hapkido, and taiquando. What are yours?

Can it be unrelated to animation?

If so, I have done Goju-ryu karate for 8 or so years and have recently started Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I'm planning on trying out Muay thai or freestyle in the future if I have time.

When I was a stick animator, my style was influenced by Goju-ryu more then anything else.

Kick-Boxing, Capoeira (still an idiot in it), and Judo.
Like to combine them in a stance.

It would be interesting if you guys include a link to your animation and indicate where those martial arts are used.

Been doing Kyokushin for more than 8 years, fucked up my knee in one of the tournaments, hopefully I will be able to get back to the competitive side of the sport one day.

So don't animate, but I practice Shotokan karate, and I have been for several years. Almost a black belt!

I like capoeira, luchador wrestling, and street fighting (I'm not talking about just any faggot deciding to fight, I mean there is a slight art to actually being street savy and learning how to react well to your environment and addition fight well)...

Street fighting would be considered a mix, kind of like mma except without rules. Mostly a survival fighting style than something you can actually teach. :P

Hi
I like Kung Fu most and like to share Kung Fu is a western term which is used to describe Chinese martial arts. My favorite Kung Fu movies are fist of fury and Ip man I & II most.
