ok exile, or, whoever helps, i have a question. I wanna know what i should do to break out of the rusty phase i am in, and by the way, you know just any exercise, i havent animated in 6 months, so yeah.

Can you split songs on flash (e.g make them start at the middle of the song...)?

Well, you could have the song start in frame one and start your animation where you want it to start in the song, then just stick gotoandplay (insert frame) in the first one then it should just skip to the frame and part of the song.

I'm not sure how people make the stivks arms and legs, the same length.

I mean watch Jc mania, his legs & arms are the same length, but when i do it i can never get the arms same length??

Use onion skinning and practise, try zooming in and spending time getting it right, i sometimes span 10mins on a frame getting it right.

Simple movements. Running, walking, jumping, physics tests. The little things are probably what matter most when it comes to rustiness.

If you're going for the Madness style.. don't attempt it. No offense but nobody can really pull it off well enough, and I don't see anyone being respected for ripping off of Krinkle's style.

As far as the animation went, the physics were off on the jump. The particles were good, but didn't apply to what was going on.

Try a different style, something new, or just generic stick figures if you'd like.

Like scorpio said, use onion skinning if you already aren't. Things like consistancy take a long time to get down, and even advanced animators have trouble with it every once in a while. Just keep at it and you'll get it eventually.

if you can pull it off properly then its fine but i just animate all the frames just make sure you dont make the particle too small because u wont be able to see it and it'll look like it disapeared early...

hey i need some help with physics. like when someone punches a guy hoe many frames should iuse to make his head go back and go to normal position on a 16 fps frame rate? thanks
