How do you figure that? Did you ever stop to think that maybe is the greasy fast food our society lives off of? Or perhaps people started getting obese back when it was "cool" to sit in front of the TV all day. Or maybe its because people stuff their faces? What about the lack of exercise in or society? But of course its going to be video games that receives the blame. More often you hear about people starving themselves to death by playing video games than you hear about them fattening people.

The point of video games isn't to be active, if I wanted to be active, I would go outside and play foot ball instead of sitting inside and playing madden. Granted its nice to have the option of being inside in the air conditioning playing a sport, but do you really think you'll burn as much weight swinging a wiimote as you would playing football or soccer?

No you don't, you can plug the bluray into a normal TV and it plays, but you don't get the highdef.
