Somehow, you seem to be happy about failing. XD

At the beginning when he's flipping back and forth faster then the speed of light. <_< use this code:(put it on the guy movieclip)

onClipEvent(load){
this.stop();
}

and it'll stop the flipping, unless the flipping is code induced, in which case I can do nothing unless I have the .fla, but again, I'm looking forward to playing this! Is jumping going to be added in?

LOL, no i am not happy failing , i am happy programming :D

oh, you mean that thing ? yeah i will just use the stop() command in the first frame of the character movieclip that will fix it . i think :D

i can code the jumping script ,if ikarhan is gonna make the sprites for it


guys, should i make him not allowed to go inside the first building or should i allow him like the link i posted earlier ??
i think i should not allow him because there will be a guy standing infront of the building anyway

it doesn't matter , most of us hadn't played diablo before ,i played it once on my pc but it was diablo1 not 2 , i had to open it yesterday to see if diablo is apple to walk behind that pole :D

but it doesn't really matter if we all had played that game , we can make the flash version of it without playing it :)

will this game have a coin system, if so what can we buy? Yes. The coins will be gold, and you can buy weapons, armor, potions, scrolls, and hirelings.

any mini bosses? Of course!

Easter eggs? I have a few in mind.

Can the character wear armor? Yes, and if you haven't started working on the menu/character appearance for that yet, that needs to be programmed. The armor will show up on the character, and will move as such.

do monsters drop loot? Yes.

open world or level? The surface world in each act is one big level, and the dungeons are separate levels.

Well, I do. So for his information, Diablo is one of the meanest bosses in the game. Defeating him and his brothers, Mephisto and Baal, will complete the main questline. The character you see in the scenario is actually a barbarian, with no armor. And the walk loop for him is a bit choppy, Ikarhan. For non-monster characters, use the line tool.

I also have an idea that might allow for some incredible detail on the monsters. The same code that will allow armor to appear on the ingame character could be used to attach detailed fullbody to the monster, which would save Ikarhan the trouble of meticulously editing an entire full body rig, since the fullbody pieces would move with the monster. What do you think, guys?

although,it's a good idea but ikarhan will have to make a sprite sheet for the armor to use it on the character while in game , like when he move or attack and armor will have a different shape

Well, he could animate the sprites with the detail rigs on them when they are made in the first place... and the different angles can be done, albeit it will take time (and it will be worth it).

ok, but it will take a lot of time and effort from ikarhan to do it , can't we assign someone with ikarhan to help him with the sprites ? :)

i have some basic knowledge of who he was.(i knew that he was the enemy/villian). but then after a bunch of people pming me and calling the character diablo i thought i was wrong.

Back from holidays. And only for a few days since I'm gonna go again in a few days.
I think I'm gonna commit suicide. Animating armor again ?!
that walk cycle is rushed exemple for the coding.
Also, Se7ven... A few things

Can you code :
-random yet selective loot from monsters appearing
-events like when you enter a place, monsters wanna poop you out
-coin system
-armor appearing on sprites when equiped
-other complicated stuff like that

i can do the first and third and the fourth , do you mean by the second one that when i enter a cave or something the monsters will come from allover the place to attack me ?

I mean that if you walk into a magic arcanic circle (for example), then the monsters will come. If you go around it, nothing happens.

If animating painted stick figures is that much work, just use the line tool. I can dissect the models Zultin makes to get the sections i'm referring to...
