I kind of breezed through freshman year. Probably because I did absolutely NO homework at home. The thing was, i didn't do it in the class that it was assigned either. I did it the class before the class it was due....with 20 minutes left. I got straight b's in all my core classes, and all a's in electives. So.... yay?

And what school are you going to? They tell you to get rid of friends? Ugh, just go to a public school.

I spent more time sleeping and playing calculator games in my advanced physics classe than I spent on work, and I was still pulling 110% on most of my tests, if he gave enough extra credit. I also breezed through trig/pre-calc.

Almost all of my classes are considered "hard" and I've personally never struggled with any of them, except maybe chemistry.

Chemistry was one of my easiest classes this year. I got a 99% in it.

I'm starting my freshman year this year, too. In my district, it goes like this:

Elementary:
Pre-K
Kindergarten
First Grade
Second Grade
Third Grade
Fourth Grade

Middle School:
Fifth Grade
Sixth Grade

Junior High:
Seventh Grade
Eighth Grade

Highschool:
Ninth Grade
Tenth Grade
Eleventh Grade
Twelfth Grade

I'm going to be in the top band, and the seniors are probably going to hate me XD But I'll try to be nice. I'm taking health in summer school right now, and there are some uppaclassmen taking it too. They seem nice. I'm not that scared.

High school really isn't all it's hyped up to be. Most people I think just enjoy scaring the hell out of incoming freshmen by saying high school is horrible. It's just a middle school with different classes and different social interactions.

Oh, forgot one thing.

In high school, the teachers really start to respect their students, and are more relaxed around them, both in the way they talk to them and act around them.

Most of my teachers swear casually and I can think of at least 3 who have went to breakfast with a few students just for the hell of it.

You must have been a harsh kid to your teachers or something, because I've loved pretty much all of my teachers in middle school.

My freshmen year sucked, I'm was in all advanced classes, and had a TON of ECs. I'm still not sure how exactly I made it through alive.

My best advice for being a freshmen is...

DO NOT DO A FLIP, THEN GET DISTRACTED WHEN YOU'RE UPSIDE DOWN!!!

It set me up for a year of concussions, nights in the ER, and eventually a safety helmet.

None of those things really help in high school

Agreed.

Middle school sucks, high school is better, all of your peers will stop being insane lunatics because their hormones will calm down a bit. In turn, the same happens with the teachers. Teachers may not start giving respect back until your sophomore year, but you'll notice a difference. Lunch may be better or worse, but you'll probably have more options.

Also, ask around and see if the people in your highschool play cards on days before a holiday, it's a good thing to know. In my school we'd all bring cards and play Euchre the day before holidays (in SOME classes), and even more than that in my senior year.

Haha, last year we brought cards during the CRCT testing and made a giant card mansion.

And then some douche came in and tripper over my foot and ****ing knocked it all down.
