Okay, I didn't get rid of those square roots, but yeah - vanquished! :)

Also on the Dejeweled Development Blog. Right here.

You can expect another prototype sometime in the next couple weeks.

maybe spiked iron balls falling from the sky, or a wave of acid passed his body and turn him into skeleton, or maybe he attacked by man-eater bugs, or maybe a splash of lava to each of his bodyparts one by one

Thats actually pretty sweet. And with the weapon in a different place, it was a completely different moving style. I had to learn how to move around with the figure all over again.
Also, when do you think you'll be starting on a prototype where being able to create boards or lines with the mouse would be possible?

Thanks. I should be able to start that with the next prototype, I think. Since I've pretty much got all the constraints working (though I should probably test the door constraint...) I can start playing with interaction a bit more.

So yeah, drawing lines and such. I'll try that next. :)

Hey guys i got this idea

- acid wave pass him and turn him into skeleton
- high voltages electricity sting his entire body and explode him into meat chunks

- the man fell to a slicing fan and he has turned into blood juice

I shall make a demo animation for those deaths !

hey guys I finally done the demo animations :

Acid wave : http://filebox.me/view/2f5j09bky

Thunder sting : http://filebox.me/view/45rp6x2bz

Slicing fan (sorry I can't draw a slicing fan) : http://filebox.me/view/8u70u44x9

So,is that great ?

Definitely will have breakable stuff.

Thanks for the animations, Brainstick, though they'd be more helpful if they demonstrated how the weapons would work as part of an automatic mechanical contraption.

Not yet, sorry. I've been busy with this project and I haven't made time to design the next prototype. If you want to give me a deadline I'll try to shoot for that if it's reasonable. ;)

Well, depending on how much you have done, how does Monday-Wednesday sound? Or if you haven't had time to make any progress at all, then next Friday. :o

Hmm, sounds like Friday... :p

Well, I'll figure out exactly what I need to get done, and I'll let you know how long I think it will take.

Okay, here's what I'll do for Engine Prototype 04:

Just rods and pins.

Drag in empty space to create a rod.
Drag a rod to move it.
Nodes connect when you move them close.
Click a rod to pin it.

No collisions, no shapes, no doors, no walls.

Let's see, how long should that take me? I'd give myself two or three days, working a few hours each day. So, I'll shoot for Friday.

Okay cool.
Are the rods going to fall while we spawn them, though? If they do then we probably wouldn't have enough time to attach a pin onto it before it fell. But its great that you're making progress with this now.
