Dominic “Sid” Faire, The Apostle of Chaos

Abilities/Weakness

Abilities/Weakness (Click to Show)

Spoiler (Click to Show)
s hands; his very own "guardian angels". They protect Dominic without his command, using his powers for him.
Weakness: They are Dominic's Mark of Chaos: what makes him an Apostle of Chaos, and the very reason why Dominic is miserable. They systematically destroy anything Order in his life and pollute his mind by talking to him within his mind and out loud. They have complete control of his hands/wrists (not arms). They are forever a part of Dominic; he despises his Whispers so much that he welcomes death (although Dominic welcomes death there are many times when he chooses life: see Personality). The Whispers can't use their Sound while bounded by the Straitjacket.
Spoiler (Click to Show)
s’ teeth) are sharper than an assassin's daggers and his saliva is slightly acidic (not enough to melt metal quickly, but enough to make flesh burn on touch). Dominic uncontrollably salivates the more insane he becomes, which can become dangerous when he screams.
Weakness: When Dominic is in his straitjacket he has no need for his teeth (since he has plenty of range). Dominic's acid can dissolve his straitjacket making it more fragile by removing the fibers that make it sturdy
Spoiler (Click to Show)
s body is an insatiable and highly destructive force. Dominic can move at amazing speeds, moving so fast that an enemy without tremendous battle prowess will not be able to follow his movements, but an intelligent fighter can see his footprints and guess his movements (from standing still he can jettison himself to his opponents; think of a slightly less OP Shunpo from "Bleach"). The nails on his hands are a little over 2 inches long and are much sharper than an average sword; he is able to use them to parry attacks from countless weapons. Using both of these enhancements he is able to rip through people, seemingly, without any hesitation.
Weakness: Dominic's body is not reinforced, therefore, he has no added protection other than his nails and healing factor. His body parts are as breakable as any average warrior. Dominic's footprints leave a temporary black zone on the ground (traces of Chaos) that can be easily seen. He is unable to use his Instrument of Chaos while bounded by the straitjacket (he can still move with decent speed when he uses his straitjacket sleeves as his legs).
Exception: When Dominic becomes insane enough (a few levels before Sid) he can move at blinding speeds with the straitjacket still on. He wont be so fast that the opponent can't see his movements, but he will move just fast enough to look like a blur at top speed (easily noticeable by an enemy since the straitjacket is somewhat white)
Spoiler (Click to Show)
mes the more his speed, acrobatics, ferocity and instincts increase; all of these factors drastically change Dominic's approach to combat. By default, Dominic doesn't want to fight back unless he feels a "need" to.
Weakness: Although Dominic lacks a strategic approach in any combat scenario, when he rises to Sid-sanity he becomes extremely reckless. He will walk into any trap no matter how obvious and reuse methods that have been previously unsuccessful (he will continue bashing into extremely thick armor that he may never break, causing more damage to himself than to his opponent)
Spoiler (Click to Show)
n his hands are able to emit high or low frequencies and vibrations. They can be utilized in many forms: utility (echolocation) , maneuverability (sonic propulsion), offensive (high pitch: mentally affecting; low pitch: physically affecting), and defensive purposes (momentary sound shield). When the Whispers, or any other factors, drive Dominic to adopt Sid he is able to emit his "Siren".
Weakness: Dominic prefers to not use his Sound unless his life is at "risk", or is driven to adopting Sid. The Whispers use them freely but never upon Dominic's request (though they try to keep him alive at all times, they won't mind Dominic taking some pain or being knocked unconscious; Sid has full control over them).
Spoiler (Click to Show)
emit this scream. The sound overpowers all sound in a half-radius (805 meters), effectively removing all noises in its vicinity until Dominic reforms. It can deafen his opponent for weeks at a time, or cause more severe injuries (permanent/temporary comatic state or Chaos infection: you will be driven as insane as Sid, which will cause you to die by your own insanity) if the enemy is not prepared.
Weakness: The Siren stops the Whispers' influence, silencing them both internally and externally from Sid. Over time, Sid will render to Dominic again. The Siren can be expected by opponents with foresight or intelligence; before releasing a Siren, the Whispers on Dominic/Sid's hands will scream constantly, increasing slightly in volume over the course of several minutes.
Spoiler (Click to Show)
ee weakness). Over time Dominic's body will heal wounds and regenerate limbs, this regeneration can increases the more insane he becomes (reaching "Deadpool Level" in the minute before the Siren).
Weakness: Dominic has some control over this ability, so he chooses to not use it to its full extent in some situations (He will choose to not regenerate wounds across his body or fix bone fractures, but the Whispers will regenerate his limbs and keep him alive even when decapitated). Without feeling pain Dominic is unable to tell when his body has reached it's limit; meaning, that if a serious set of blows are dealt in succession he can pass out and be unable to fight.
There is a process that can kill Dominic but it is extremely difficult (more explanation coming soon).
Spoiler (Click to Show)
s that it can leak out of him (it can be ethereally or visibly, like with his footsteps). Living things around him become increasingly mad and savage if they lack the mental fortitude or strength resist the Chaos. Someone who is new to the feeling of Chaos initially experiences it through phobia-induced hallucinations (someone who fears the ocean will imagine themselves fighting underwater and will become panicked and nervous; if you fear insect then you'll be able to see and feel roaches crawl on your skin, etc.) that will change the way they act around Dominic. Further exposure, or someone who is used to the first stage, will have moments where their body will start to violently react without their permission (like when you start to fall asleep then violently flail a limb that wakes you up, just without the sleepiness before hand) which can throw off battle stances or organized attacks. Further exposure to the Chaos, or a familiarity with second stage, causes the living creature to fight things uncontrollably (meaning targeted attacks are sent off kilter) and lose all regard to personal injury (small animals will start ramming their heads into boulders or oaks, and fighters will punch with broken limbs, ignoring the increase in pain).
Weakness: Each person can only take on symptoms of one stage of Chaos Leak (i.e. someone can't hallucinate like stage one and violently flail like stage two). It's assumed that when you transfer between each level, you brush off the insanity of the Chaos temporarily until the next stage occurs. At all levels of exposure, whether the subject can resist it or not, the affected target becomes stronger due to the Chaos providing them with extra energy. Natural powers are enhanced and specialty attacks (like magic) can be used more often successively. At the third stage the victims of the Leak start to get very minor Chaotic Healing Factors (however, if they can already heal or have a healing factor, the Chaos further increases their natural ability to do so). This minor factor can heal a few deep wounds (like bullet holes or gashes) very slowly and seal up small cuts and bruises quickly.

Story
There’s a world where everyone has a 6
th sense. Order and Chaos are partially tangible elements of the world, and as such the people of this world can tell when, and occasionally where, pockets of Order and Chaos occupy.

….At the central wing of a hospital in the dead of night a mother was bringing a 16 hour labor to its close. The new Mother and Father had their first and last child born that night. When the baby arrived every room in the hospital could hear the crying. The sound was shrill and left a dark stain in the air. Everyone in the room looked in horror at what should have been a shrieking baby, but that was not the case. The baby was not crying, his mouth was closed, eyes shut, the newborn was sound asleep. There, imbedded inside each of the child’s palms were a mouth, both of which were wide open and distorted; this was the cause of that Chaotic sound. While growing inside the mother, the newborn was unusually susceptible to the influence of everyday Chaos that surrounds everyone. Chaos found an opportunity to create a Disciple of Insanity: which it granted the name of Sid.

As Dominic grew the people around him saw him as a pox in this world influenced by Order and Chaos; the only ones who could bring the child any happiness were his Mother and Father. The child could not go a day without hearing his palms whisper sin into his ears, telling him to kill those closest to him, burn his surroundings down, or other commands that would bring an overabundance of Chaos into the world. It was the love of the Mother and Father that kept the boy Dominic peaceful. When the child would run to them screaming about the “Whispers” in his hands calling him “Sid” and telling him commit these acts, the Mother would retrieve the mittens she made for the boy and place them on his hands. The Father would sit the boy in his lap as the mother sat beside him, reminding the boy of who he was: ”Dominic” a young boy who would live a normal life, someone capable of creating Order where Chaos wanted to settle, someone who could stave off the Chaos within him. With the parents’ support Dominic was able to do just that.

On Dominic’s 6th year an accident occurred. On a routine drive home the Mother was killed a car crash that had been organized by followers of Chaos. They wanted to rid the boy of his Order, which they believed was within the Mother’s presence, so that his Chaos could be released. Their plans were to no immediate avail. The child was pushed to a level he had never reached and the Whispers became louder to the boy from that moment on. Dominic’s days seemed to be much darker, but thanks to the efforts of his Father the boy was able to overcome his tragic loss and still remain in control.

As he grew older, Dominic was left alone in school. The teachers passed him off, one to the other, not wanting to be near the boy, and the kids either shunned the boy or beat him without remorse. On his 11th year, Dominic was getting harassed by the same group of kids that routinely tormented him all his life. The children had decided on this day to bear witness to what made Dominic an apostle of Chaos. They removed the pair of gloves the boy wore this day and stood, initially, in awe of what was under the gloves. They could hear the Whispers. The kids became unruly and loud, mocking Dominic, but this made the Whispers louder. Dominic cupped his hands over his ears to drown out the kids, placing the Whispers closer than they’ve ever been. The Whispers then became more than voices to Dominic, they became an irrational feeling in

You and Cyber virus are going to be best friends, I can see it now. The two mass murderers running down the street killing just about anybody they see. Ah they will all perish.

Well i might have another friend then, but i wasn't trying to make a mass murderer. He became a plagued lone wanderer who has no choice but to spend all his remaining mentality focusing on binding himself until the day comes when he dies. I wanted to paint a person who is truly miserable and trapped in his own mind. He wants to not want to lose himself, but it's too late. It's all in vain.

Understandable. But those were not gladiators, and the Siren doesnt work like that, nor is he THAT powerful. The Demo is not the Dominic from the end of the story.
Glad to be in hell, but im not Anywho ^_^
i look forward to surprising my targets with the powers of personified Chaos

EDIT: Those victims won't be able to tell anyone what happened that day

Hey I've noticed something, you didn't mention the whispers in your abilities. Are they not supposed to be there? One would think mouths with sharp teeth that are right on both your hands that can spit acid is a really good power to be mentioned in the abilities.

The Whispers are a part of his body. Two extra mouths so that they need not be listed, and they are the same as his mouth (His main mouth has acid traces too by the way). The sound powers can be channeled through them, except for the Siren thats just his main mouth. And i did mention the Whispers in "The Mouth" ability. Acid spitting isnt really a power I had in my mind, its just more of a bonus idea; I can use it, just like I made an echo-location in the demo, as long as it makes sense.

EDIT: If you think it helps I can mention the Whispers as another ability

The whispers speak to you, its not very helpful but still they speak to you. Warnings before you run into doom? They mainly just shout inside his head like a battle drum does to a warrior, they SOUND like they are meant for enraging and creating a berserk state of Sid. Or I could be wrong.

They do provide a sort of enraging when they speak, but they normally tell him things like "kill", destroy", and other things of the like; never really full blown sentences or the little advice the Navi gives off. They push him to limitless insanity but they dont warn him or try to...protect him like you think. The Chaos that flows through him protects him but in the sense as they keep him alive, not tell him to dodge like Piccolo does Gohan. When he fights he is rallied by instinct and randomness that can only increase with the further loss of his mind. As i mentioned, he will run right through a trap even if he knows its there, and the Whispers wont tell him since they all already know. They share a body and unfortunately a mind.

Man, your character is going to have a lot of trouble against mine. My character makes traps and then persuades people to walk into them by possessing a trusting figure and then working his way around not lying but still getting the person to walk into the trap, its deceitful but Cyber virus gets to watch his victim walk into the trap like a fool.

Anyway, I played a game called THE DARKNESS. This character reminds a lot of that guy, here's a picture of him: Image

Anyway this character partially reminds me of that guy, it was a really cool game.

I love you character, which gets me thinking why didn't I think of this.

Interesting, the inspiration i put in the description was my intention of Dom's appearance, but to each his own,

I figure my guy would have a lot of trouble against a lot of people, but he does it on purpose. Dominic wants to die, the Chaos and Whispers don't. He's always fighting himself. I thought it was an appropriate weakness considering the laundry list of abilities I have at my disposal.

Uh...That looks more like this guy. http://forums.stickpage.com/showthread.php?73747-Armand

This wRHG can spawn creatures from his body. Despite the difference in appearance, this pic describes Armand's ability a bit too well.

Just simply edit the main post, and press the "go advanced" button. It should take you to a page where you can change the title~
I hope that helps~
