I like the Dojo so far. It's design is beautiful and it's function as more of a social experience forum is spot on. I tend to find myself just talking to people there and throwing around jokes in a much more comfortable manner. I'm not really expecting it to be a FULLBODY site or a serious Feature Animations site either (at least for the time being).
I personally think that the portal is a joke at the moment. It's a ton of members just throwing up all their old animations in attempts to get recognized and rated. The Dojo to me feels like a combination of Framesmash/Facebook with a slight addition of FA. Not even Stickpage, since the atmosphere is nowhere near as serious. I like using it to comment with people, and truly have discussions, but I don't really see it as a site where I would submit animations and expect them to get any recognition. Towards the end of FA's existence I was feeling the same way. Too many members, too much content. I was overwhelmed! It felt like I was on youtube with endless destinations/venues to chose from, unable to watch every single available video. That's why I like the favorite/subscribe feature, but to be true, I get the same feature by just talking to people that come online on IRC. You' know, just talk to them, shoot the bull, and then they PM you telling you to tell them how good it their animation is! Maybe after the initial surge dies down, the content stream will balance back out. I don't know to be honest.
However, I love the revolutionary implements. Most if not all of them are helpful and should be put in more forums. I love the site. It's fun, plain and simple. It feels like TAP - for what little time I was there- or I'm sure how SP did before the merge. Like a small collection of people that take pride in their little niche. I have mixed feelings about it's popularity though. I'm sure that there will be that moment Dojo becomes the majority site, and SP starts to lose a lot of it's members in comparison/lessens in popularity. At that point it's just going to be a clusterfuck of people.
I'm sorry if a lot of this seems repetitive. The site is new and I haven't really gotten an established feel for it yet. I was just kinda going to down my list and trying to expand upon it. Plus it's late.
I also think that a reason for Dojo current popularity is the members there (Terkoiz, Hyun, Jeff). As I mentioned, it feels like a tight nit group where you can be included amongst the greats and excluded from the noobs that seem to be invading the site that you have "been accepted into". (ugh, a pet-peeve of mine with newer members). This makes it even more enjoyable since you are a part of a group, above the people below you. Hopefully it doesn't make the members elitist as time develops and closed minded to new people that they don't like.
To close, I think that as long as it doesn't grow old and stagnate, I think it's rooted to be a good site. (: It's got the features to do so.
To be clear, this is in a ways constructive criticism. I in no way want to bash on Dojo and insult the work that they have done. I like it a lot, but that doesn't change my opinions/usage of it. In the categories that I use it for, it does exceptional.

I think you two were mentioning full body sites. Haha. You should check out Psuda.com. It's great!
