To make a last point, I always say that Flash should be .stk compatible due to how easy you can use sticks and the amazing detail and complexity you can give sticks. If you could carry pivot options over like a stick creation window and the ability to join sticks to the nodes of others, I daresay amazing stuff could be achieved. Flash's bone tool is too bad and it can warp stuff, the times I've used it I've always ended up with a dislike of it.

This so much. Flash puppets are cool and all but the way it works is messing with me, layers and layers of symbols y'know? And the puppets that have bones I end up ruining it within one nudge of the limb. Of course, we'll have to wait for a hero to create a .stk support add-on.

Of course, I'm still the guy who's going to redraw my sticks with the pencil tool but it can make fullbodies MUCH easier.

EDIT: I read too fast and didnt read all of it until the end so i continued D: Sorry, didnt mean to make this fight longer. Think of this just as a message I had in mind.

And again, Who is the one to determine those rules and stated that it is a MUST for all pivot animations? People doesn't necessarily need to follow all your steps. Everyone has the freedom to make his/her own ways of animating, and shouldn't be judged by some group of people in a nutshell, even if the group is large.

And in my opinion, you put those hard work into the animations, but the audiences will only be the people in your community. However, if you actually care less about your so-called 'realistic movements', have some time to make cinematics and effects, you can actually have ANYONE to watch it. Animes are very good examples. Do you see them move that good? No, but the movements arent the main point of the animation, right? And can they still be entertaining? Yes.

@Drone nah you aint hijacking this post, i was here on the discussion too.

The opposing perspective is that realistic movements mean capability for skill because movement is stated to be the root of animation. If you're not good with movements then you're not a good animator. Also, it is perceived as a cheap way of entertainment when FX and cinematics is used to hide or compensate for bad movement skills. Without all those extra bits, animations would be judged once they're stripped down to just movement.

In my perspective, there will always be picky connoisseurs regardless of medium or preference. There will be those who judge how closely they follow their preferences be it flashy anime-tier cinematics or wibble-wobble easing. What I want? I just want to do things in my own pace without having to mold myself after someone telling me otherwise and my movements are bad. Of course, currently my movements ARE bad but I want to fix that my way, not adding 20+ more easing frames or adding lens flares and speed lines.

Damn lens flares and speed lines always messing everything up -_-

Meh, I'd prefer to call it "TopKillGrean Style" because the only one who has been using the style is only topkillgrean himself.

what pisses me off most about DD is that they didn't consider people's way of animating as 'styles'. instead, they uses themselves as the center of the universe, judging others all around.

I must admit that the DD's way of animating truly puts so much work in to the animations, but in my opinion, they are not entertaining to watch at all.

I in no way want to get involved in this stupid style/software/dicksize battle, but I just want to completely object everything said in this post. A lack of variety of styles? Look at sifter. Then look at firecracker. Then wraybies. I mean, come on. And where the hell did you get the idea that DD considers themselves the center of the universe? Its a god damn pivot community with <50 active members, if even that.
and how the hell could you say DD anims aren't entertaining after I posted a fucking link to DDC12

k i'm done bye

Umm, NaB3R!u$? The first 3 images in your OP aren't working. Could you re-upload them, perchance?

PS: I ran ナベリウッス through Google Translate and found out that it was displaying ナベリウス's translation instead- it translated to Naberiusu. After forcing it to translate the original text, it read Naberiussu. You think ナベリウス would be the more accurate Japanese translation of Naberius?

Yeah I can't see it either... I used to though.
