I always thought a body slam was like what FL-Nordin did (basically landing on your downed opponent while spread eagle).

I remember in Pokémon that was how it was used. Haven't really seen the term used anywhere else.

Nope, thank god. It's one of those moves that seems like it would hurt the user as much as the receiver (like head-butts).

sure i got body slamed but i never knew it was called that
i always tought it was like hitting youre opponent with youre own body
in pokemon some of them dont have hands to actually grab and throw the body on the ground like bayleaf but her move is also called bodyslam
so that means my image of bodyslam is a lie :c

i hope not, because i also wanted to do that move, so the ground can crack then my oponent will get face burn as a reaction to the heat

still haven't done the last move yet

Guess it's one of those cases where the words meaning has been altered and added to over time. Wonder which came first.
My image of a body slam is also a lie D: (also, in round 8 of bse, everyone seemed to be doing the body slam this way).
