South Korea has a really stupid way of picking celebrities. As for singers and boy/girl bands they basically look around for the most attractive people they can find, and put them in training school for a year or so before eventually giving them a debut. Feel bad for the people who actually have talent who don't fit the bill attractiveness wise. Genius move in terms of generating tourism/foreign interest though I guess. Everyone has gone SK crazy these days. It's practically the new Japan.
