I kinda agree. Although Pivotblimp seems to be more focused on the exceutions itself in his last 2 entries.

you guys should rename this from BSE to BCE, i never see any best "sequence" executions, everythings so bias for best "cinematic" executions now |:

Funny and theres nothing wrong with it really, even though I do it, I feel that doing the BSE really helps me improve, why I animate in the first place, by all means doing cinematic is completely fine and overall BSE has evolved as well.

Really I don't think it's that bias, All judges have there own taste anyway and having there own views towards participants entries would be very challenging for them.

When I finish the BSE Version 5 series I would like to walk out with my new level of skill and would be able to handle the little details and interactive elements in my future work.

The participants are the ones setting the bar, not the staff.

So you're saying that everyone participating shouldn't strive for excellence?

How did you even get that from what I typed...?

For one, I never said the staff was setting the bar, I could care less who is.

ASSUMING when you say "excellence" you mean, striving for cinematic quality, already proves that what I said is true. I see nothing wrong with 2D or 3D, as long as it's creatively executed (which is the point of this exercise). My problem is that no one is creatively executing their combos now, I just see a bunch of rip off moves I've seen for the last 5 years, or trying to make half ass'd moves look fancy by throwing it into a perspective.

EDIT: and the ones using the fancy perspectives are getting more credit for it just because it was angled.

Oh no I'm not pointing any fingers I just meant as a vast majority, but I've seen your parts, they're more of what I want to see in BSE, fun stuff haha

Sadly jomm, all the god-like 2D animators are not participating in the BSE, and most of the boys nowadays want to focus on 3D and/or cinematics, I would love to see some awesome 2D action around here, but is not the majority ;_;

I suck in 2-d but luckily for those complaining, I AM doing 2-D for this round
but reason why i do cinematics is so that you guys dont see that i am really bad at running cycles
but this bse is meant to try new things so im guessing that if you want to see 2-d constantly that THIS is the wrong BSE to do that
so far i have tried many styles of animating in this BSE and one of them was not even colored
but since this round is about treadmills and constantly moving things i figured that i should take this oppertunity to improve my running cycles. So here you have it, a little bit of inside tought of how i calculate the bse rounds.

yup, i agree with nordin :)
but
my style is 3d and angles, so i wont change it for bse
im almost done btw, finishing up, like sounds and effects etc...
shudnt take more then 2 days normally :)
how far are you guys in

also jomm, it is pretty normal we all use angles, its a sad thing, but they get more points then regular 2d (idk why) but its a fact
imo it also looks better :)

One more question:
Can the bone breaker be performed with the body slam or must they be separate?
I'm assuming not, but I wanna ask anyway

Yeah, these two attacks should be performed one after the other as they're just a part of the string of attacks. :)
