yeah I agree with Purple. If I ever watch it, I'd treat it like a well-produced stickfigure animation.

Mindless violence.

Watched Ender's Game on the plane. It was pretty meh. It had its moments, but the way the director envisioned Ender seemed less impressive than its novel and graphic novel counterparts. Some of the actors were also kind of eh too, they could've been better. I also don't like the way they introduced Bean, but I suppose it couldn't be helped since it was a movie.

I think I came into Wolf of Wall Street expecting gold because I honestly didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. There was a bit too much narration for my comfort and certain points of the movie felt repetitive. When he got into prison, I felt like it was a bit underwhelming because I could tell they were trying to go for something there but there wasn't enough time.

just finished A Thousand Words in hbo last night, it was pretty hilarious and sad.

Watched Snowpiercer. It had its weird moments. I kind of want to say that the weird moments reminded me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There were several plot-holes, but it was a good action flick, and it ended decently. Despite all its weird stuff, I sort of liked it.

Speaking of Charlie, anyone notice how the old movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was centered entirely around Charlie despite its title. And then the remake was based entirely around Willy Wonka despite being called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Did you watch the Korean release or the edited American release?

I just saw one of the weirdest films ever, (not sure if it counts actually, only 50 minutes long) it was called Dead Leaves and was an Anime film by the same studio that made Ghost in the Shell and the animated parts of Kill Bill. I can't really explain it all, it's trippy as hell and it's plot is pretty strange too, very enjoyable though. :)

I tried getting into Kubrick's films. A Clockwork Orange is definitely my favorite from him. The Shining was awesome. Full Metal Jacket is pretty good. The rest of his movies don't really seem that appealing to me so I haven't watched them.

A Clockwork Orange is also my favorite film of his. Two others than are less well known of his that I really enjoyed was Lolita and Killer's Kiss.

Oh yeah and watch Hard Candy directed by David Slade.

When I first watched Cypher by Vincenzo Natali, I actually thought it was a Kubrick film. So, watch that if you're interested in weird/scifi shit.

Also anything by David Cronenburg for your daily dose of mind fuck.
My personal favorites are Videodrome, eXistenZ (which is Videodrome but replace TV with Video Games), and Naked Lunch

i'm looking forward to kca 2015 next year and i hope it's more better. and also, i want see to haunting in connecticut 2 (i forgot the title) in hbo, it looks cool

Just checked out Cypher and Naked Lunch on IMDb. They both look pretty cool. If I have some free time I'm definitely going to check them out.

Half the movie is mindless violence, military guys yelling, and explosions left and right.

Although I do like the depiction of the aliens and how they're treated as a kind of lesser being (bad living conditions, prejudice, ect) and the downward mental spiral the main character takes after the story starts to move faster. I'd recommend.
