ELEMENTALS NEED A STRUCTURE!

so yes as everyone knows order has those walls and chaos has some towers but the elementals dont have anything yet and i think they need one! so i just posted this thread to attract ideas, although i dont have many ideas myself XD (that i think dont suck and are good) so please post any ideas on structures here and im hoping the staff will use these as inspiration and make a structure :P. (oh yeah and i noticed the castle airs dont do splash dmg they need 2 do splash darn it!)

Castle airs do a lot of damage, they don't need splash.

And I suppose their structure is blind gate.

well if its simply blind gate then... thats sucks to me i can see the strategic potential in that thing but still...... i don't really find it that useful(don't want to explain why) and as for airs well.. yes they do do a lot of dmg but still splash can even be though as a multiplier but at least give them like a "double strike" for a max of two targets splash dmg.

Blind gate seems to me like a way to deal with Archidon mass. It's kinda useless apart from denying the enemy sniping.

You can still fire past it, and you can still elect units beyond the gate. It's a complete waste of 750 gold.

yes exactly my point its such a waste and almost never worth it...at all, and aside from that i dont technically think i qualifys as a MINER structure since miners dont build it :P but you get the point....now some ideas would be nice as im pretty sure we can all agree the blind gate sorta sucks

How about a thorn wall that turn into a pool of poison upon death it would cost 200 gold to research 100 to build and would have same health as orders wall.

On a different point blind gate is a waste of time but if it was removed what earth+air combination could you have that is ability

CL (Castle Lightning) is fine. Splash would make the dmg too good.

Blind Gate is fairly useless, yes, but thorn wall doesn't emphasise asymmetrical races.

I'd also think Earth/Air would be the building, but yeah. Blind Gate honestly has a cool concept but in execution, not so well.

Just brainstorming a few ideas:

Blind Gate could be adjusted to be similar to the old miner wall - maybe 3 bars of health, can be placed anywhere, denies scouting?
Earth+Air makes me think of Sandstorm, maybe Quicksand (Pool that causes units that are currently in it to be slowed (Medusa sized, maybe slightly larger)) disappears after a while (or could stay?)

I think Elementals needs a structure available for 'turtling', or maybe just straight up offensive, needs something to replace its failed Tower Spawn 2 anyway.

The giant charrog is fine. If you're having issues, use more trees.

The blind gate would be fine if it blocked enemy movement, stopped targeting like the fog of war should, had the health of a miner wall, and had no time restriction. Hell, it may even be OP then.

Naw. It only takes the ability to run 1 unit through there. It would just make blind gate an actual blind freakin gate.

yeah i think the blind gate would be better if it also had some damn health on it not as much as miner wall but near it, and yes they cant go past it or see through it, OR just to fit the theme and be "unique" i guess it would say... be mreo similar to an enchantment like any units enemy that pass it cannot use ability or spells and air/flying units are debuffed slighyl in dmg and health and take very little dmg over time and the blind affect how about even after walking past it you can only see enemy units that are attacking but if they are say moving past you or standing still... then no their invisible to you that would be pretty cool-ish right? note if this enchantment thing happened it would need a LOT more duration OR let units pass it but have CRAZY HEALTH worth like 2 miner walls or maybe a enslaved giant... with giant health if not a normal giant no upgrade....yeah thats sorta my adaptation of the so far nearly useless blind gate

It would be pointless if it had attack points, it would go down too fast.

Unless it had the health of a tree.
