Could work. There could be some kind of system where a button appears in the report, where a mod could confirm or cancel a report. Basically, if someone reports something, a mod looks at that post, and if the report is legit and reasonable, the mod can hit confirm. If it's just bullshit from someone who wants to report every one of a certain member's posts, the mod could click cancel, and it'd delete the report. As soon as enough reports are confirmed, that member is automatically banned.
That's a good idea, and basically what I was thinking of. A button for allowing the report, and getting rid of it. But what I think should happen is if the report is turned down for bullshit the person should get an infraction, so that there aren't just people reporting everything because the person getting reported said something to piss them off. Even though that's a bit harsh, it's stupid to report every post of someone who's just annoying, because not only does it increase post count, it makes the mods have to delete more threads in the "batcave".
Edit: @Dudeman:
I know about that part of it, but it's obvious if someone is breaking the rules or not. And plus, 2-D is a kind of exception, in a way. I hate to say it, but he's probably the only person that you can't really ban for spam unless it's really bad. He's just the forum spammer, it's always been that way.
