Too much fiasco has gone by for him to continue his rant towards Max. He let him off for now, focusing on other problems.

"Yeah, you people get your well deserved rest for today." He said sarcastically. "Have a nice dream. See you in the morning." He gestures a gun hand and points them at the group before setting off into the city.

"I have no idea Sebastian..." Iris said replying to the last thing he said about Dante, she then got closer and lied her head on Sebastian's chest, taking the feather from her head she started to play with it and then asked "I'm worried about Anna... she thinks that Dante was brainwashed... but then again, we have no proofs about that... if I see her again, I won't hesitate into attacking her..."

Sebastian hadn't noticed he had said the last part out loud. He brushed Iris' hair, it was softer than his feathers and he let the gray locks run through his fingers. "I understand how she feels as how you do, and I agree, I will fight her. But I do want to find out why she turned on us."

After a moment of silence she asked him in a serious tone, "...how many of us will make it til the end?... I can't even imagine the idea of losing Nikolai... or Anna..." huging him tightly added "...or you"

He hugged her back, "I would hate to lose you too. Though I would like to be an optimist and say that we're all going to make it back, we have to face the logical truth that that's not going to happen. And whether you like it or not, I will protect you to my death. But look at me." He stared into her violet eyes and made her stare into his pink eyes, "I will try my hardest to survive through this, and you have to promise to do the same. Promise?" He smiled and clasped her hand, lacing his fingers into hers, "Team comes before the mission, I will put my life on the line for that. But you come before the team."

"Sebastian I'm also up to give my life for you... or one of my teammates... but we can't risk the mission for it, the whole humanity lies in our hands, we can't be selfish and think only in us we gotta do whatever it takes to succeed in our mission even if it costs our lives. Promise me that if the mission is in danger you'll do anything it takes to succeed.. we gotta do it for everyone." She said as she huged him back.

Sebastian shook his head, he knew what she was saying was right but he couldn't accept it, "No, I'm allowed to be selfish right now. This life has already taken too many things away from me to take you as well. I will not let you die for me, nor will I let you die for the mission. Yes I will risk my life for the mission but I will not let you get involved, if something like you say does happen then promise me you'll run and try to survive and let me handle it." He returned the hug, "Please tell me you'll survive." He begged.

"But Sebastian... I... I'm not as weak as before!, you say it like if I should stay in in a cage safe from all danger and that's not gonna happen, as you said... maybe not all of us will make it till the end and we gotta accept it, that also includes me. Maybe I'll be the one saving your life sometimes..." Iris looked at Sebastian, he was indeed terribly worried and she didn't want to make him feel worse, letting out a deep sigh she said "I promise that I'll survive..." and then thinking to herself "But... if I have the chance to save you... I'll do it without hesitating, same goes for the rest of my friends..."

Sebastian gave a sad chuckle to her resolve, "I had a feeling that wouldn't work, but nothing hurts trying. I know you're stronger now, but I'm not being overprotective because I think you're weak. It's because I lo... I..." Sebastian kissed her. "You and Samson are all I have left in terms of family."

Iris smiled and stood up, offering Sebastian a hand to stand up "Tho I'm quite sure that we'll make it without problems, right?" she smirked and then went with Aquila, "Can you lead us to the gated entrance? the one without guards, I think is the best option we have"

"Sleepers, landmines, pitfalls... what other messy things could they have planned?" Sebastian mumbled as he strolled behind Iris, one hand enclosed around one of hers and the other in his pocket. He smiled as he stared at the back of the person he loved, her long grey hair swishing as she walked, some strands floating in the wind. As long as we're together, we'll be fine.

Or you will cause her death. The voice laughed. You are not the saint she thinks you as, nor the saint you make yourself out to be.

Aquila nodded, "The dome isn't that far away, we should be there in an hour or so. Now follow me but please do be quiet, the Augors are not to be underestimated by any measure." Aquila then started a brisk jog through the plains, his shoes not making a noise.

Placing the shield on her back Iris followed Aquila "C'mmon guys, let's move".

"Alright then. Here's what we'll do." Anna spoke up, forcing some strength into her small voice so that she could be heard by everyone. "Simply put, we just don't know what we're up against, and what kind of enemies and traps we might face. All we know is that the main entrance into the Augor's dome is veritable suicide. That leaves the backdoor... and there, we have no information at all. We can just assume that there's lots of traps."

Walking up to Aquila, who stood a bit uncomfortably next to Max, Anna raised up a hand and placed it on his forearm. "This is where this guy comes into play. From what I understand, he used to be capable of absorbing the life energy of everything around him, and if he's like these other... "Blessed Ones"... he may be very powerful. So I think we may have a pretty good shot if we traveled as far as we could, with everyone together. And then when the trap springs, we will fight together until our enemies are as close as we can get them, and then I'll cover us all in my strongest force field.

"All except Aquila." She grinned, and a bit of her usual self shone in her eyes for a moment. "We will give them no warning. All that will happen is that I'll shout out, shield us all, and let Aquila go wild and drain the life from everything around him as strong as he can. And then whatever remains, we'll fight through them as usual."

Uncertain, the little girl gave a lopsided grin to her small audience. "What do you think?"

"It does sound like a good plan Anna, I'm sure that as long as we work as a team there's nothing the enemy can do against us, so let's stay toghether ok?" Said Iris as she got prelared for the attack, her crossbow worked automatically with her thoughts and it was ready to spawn arrows and shot.
