They had found his weak spot. Those damned healing arrows. Nobody had realized beforehand that they were made of pure light; a weakness to his shadow-imbued body. Something he would have to watch out for. As he recoiled, he could see from the corner of his eye that Nikolai had awoken from his slumber. Another nuisance, he thought to himself with a frown on his face.
And then suddenly, someone he hadn’t seen much of throughout the ordeal came into his line of sight. Mason. The thought that he was prepared to attack him outright was replaced by the fury building inside of him as the male attempted to taunt him. While such an imperfect being shouldn’t have done much to his conscious, it was still enough to make him want to rip the imbecile, limb by limb.
“You…vermin!” He exclaimed through gritted teeth, and suddenly Sirius did something that nobody had suspected. Instead of charging in like a bull, he allowed the shadows to do it for him. The large tornado that had been gather debris and shadow matter suddenly sprang forth, swirling toward Mason at great speeds as the gusts of wind grew stronger. If Mason didn’t dodge it in time, he would be ripped to shreds.
At the same moment, the shadows all around himself could sense the sudden presence of those vile healing arrows, and immediately jumped to the side. While preventing the arrows from injuring him any further, they did however hit the shadows that were encompassing the area. The section in which the healing arrows dissolved and dispersed suddenly lost it’s shadows, and bright light flooded in through that particular area, creating a hole about the size of two people standing side by side. In that section of the dome that had been placed over the group, the shadows were slowly creeping back through the dome, but the light would stay for at least another thirty seconds.
In that exact moment, Sirius could see a figure emerging from the darkness. He had no idea who he was or where he had come from, but the intention was clear; an attempt to bash at him with some gargantuan hammer he held. As he jumped up and attempted to fling the hammer at him, Sirius caught it in his hand nearly effortlessly. His other hand grasped tightly onto the male’s side, squeezing tightly as the cold of Sirius Nightshade spread through him.
“Such…Brute force and bravery…In such an evil specimen,” Sirius mused, “However, such brute strength won’t work on the likes of me.”
Still grasping the hammer in his hand, Sirius pushed hard with his other hand, enough to send Jason flying backwards toward the others. That wouldn’t have been so bad, had Sirius not aimed the gargantuan hammer and meant to throw it at Jason’s head. Another one dead.
He cocked his arm and flung it forward, intending to end Jason's life then and there.
However, at the same time a searing pain came in his shoulder, mangling his throw and having the heavy hammer jut into the ground just in front of Jason as he fell, rather than at his head. Sirius, vexed by the distraction, jerked his head toward the source.
Nikolai, who had somehow managed to grab his weaponry while he was distracted by everyone else, stood with his guns smoking, and that same fucking smile on his face.
“I don’t like to miss a fight.” he said coolly.
